What Time of Year Would you go?

We are looking at our trip for next year. Would you rather go in May, September/October or December?

December would be a dream od ours but its way too crowded for us.

We booked first week of May to see the tail end of the flower garden festival and be cooler than summer and hopefully lighter crowds cause school will still be in session

Sept/oct seem to be the norm for freedining but hurricane season w rain ....

I voted for September/October. That is when we are going this year December is my second choice as long as it is the beginning of December and not around Christmas. I would not go in May unless I had no other option because it is too hot for us.

March 2011 - Beach Club Villas
July 2007 - Polynesian Resort / Off Property

I voted for May (early May) as we love the Flower & Garden Show, however, we also just love to go in Oct. for the F&WF as well as MNSSHP (leave end of next week). We were fortunate to book through The Timeshare Store a studio at OKW for the week of 12/16/12, too, when someone had already booked it and could not make it so put it with TTS for rent. We were going to go next Dec. timeframe to see the Christmas decorations and when this was advertised decided to jump on it. Hoping since it the week before Christmas that it won't be too crowded.

If we go in December, it will be the first week, I really want to see the Christmas decorations. May would be for Flower and Garden, September/October for Food & Wine. We normally go in August, so heat not an issue.

Definitely do late September if you can. Right now the Halloween decorations are up and the crowds are low. We went yesterday (we have APs and live in Orlando) and the crowds weren't bad. Today was even better--the shortest lines I've seen in a long time. Like, 10 minutes for the Buzz ride and 25 for the Jungle Cruise at about 12-1pm. Peter Pan was only 50 minutes, and trust me, I saw it at 75+ regularly this summer! Not that I'd ever wait an hour to ride Peter Pan, though . And over in Hollywood Studios Toy Story Mania was only 50 minutes. At noon. That's the first time I've seen that all year. (Usually it's 120+ by the time we make it over there!)

Of course, we don't go every day or even every week, but Jan and Sept/Oct we go often because of the nice weather and low crowds.

May and September are hot, but notice busy. December seems to have picked up in the last few years, but if you hit a slow week, the weather is great. October can be hit or miss with crowds too depending on the week, but overall, its good. if I had to pick....probably first week of December.

First week of December

We were there the first week of December last year and we loved it! The crowds were low, the weather was fantastic (we don't like it too hot) and the parks were beautiful with all of the decorations!

I would much rather go in December with low crowds, the weather is cooler, and the Christmas decorations. But with the kids schedule-- no can do. We are planning to go next year in May.. and if that doesn't work, we will go in June as soon as the kids are done with school. Sept/October is out. I can't take the kids out when the school just began. It's not a good idea in my opinion.

May and September are too HOT. December is too crowded. I would go in October, though not til mid-to-late October, so it won't be too hot & humid.

We were there 2 weeks ago, love the low crowd numbers. The waits on Soarin' were 5 to 10 minutes, Everest was 5 minutes. We rode Buzz Lightyear 4 times back to back! It was wonderful.

My vote is for September/October. We have been twice in late September and can't imagine going any other time, other than December. May is hot and the lines can be long.

Loved May, liked Sept, haven't been in December. We chose October for hopefully a little cooler temps, F&W, and MNSSHP. December would be my second choice.

I voted for December. We love going in October, but it is still hot and the cooler weather in December would make up for the crowds!
