We're a little different. When we're at Disney, we're kids at heart. We always eat at CRT. Last time we were there, not only did we have a great time but we got to see someone get engaged! So cool.

I have never been to a signature but my favourite meals have been
1. Surf and turf at Rose and Crown
2. Ohana
3. Watch illuminations and share a platter for two at La Hacienda

Second would be Bluezoo; I love this restaurant-it has a very adult vibe to it.

After that I would choose Shulas, Il Mulino or Citricos, in that order.
Agree 100%

Wow, thank you all! Lots to consider, but at least I have time to read menus & reviews. Thanks for my starting point!

I'm not concerned with avoiding other people's children while we dine, just anxious to take advantage of not having one at our table.

Leaving out V&A which is once in awhile, currently Sanaa, California Grill (lounge only), Narcoosees, Bluezoo, Flying Fish, Jiko, Via Napoli, La Hacienda, Raglan Road and Kouzzina (for breakfast certainly). I don't go to character meals and the only buffet I will still go to is Biergarten. Haven't been to Citricos for awhile, am returning, but only for wine dinners.

California grill. Via napoli. Tutto Italia. Chefs de France. Also for QS WGPE (marketplace).....By far one of the best meals of our trip. Bacon wrapped meatloaf and mashed pot is phenominal.

V&A is easily the top. Unfortunately DH refuses to wear a jacket on vacation, so I have only been there once for a private lunch function (part of Happy Haunts 2004) But it was the most exquisite meal I have ever had the pleasure to eat.....

So, if your DH is like mine & doesn't want to get all that dressed up or the price is prohibitive, these are our favorites (we're adults only diners)

BlueZoo
Il Mulino
Flying Fish
Citricos

Of those 4, the first 2 offer the most adult experience, with Citricos next & Flying Fish being the loudest. I know you said other peoples kids won't bother you, but if you are at California Grill for a romantic night out & you listen to a small child scream for an hour or so while all the adults ignore him while they wait to see the Fireworks - you start to change your mind. Hence no more dinners at CG for us..... At least not late, when we prefer to eat.

Excellent points! You're right - it's unlikely that I'll be able to talk DH into dressing up for dinner for a quick weekend like this. Although, he has been developing his foodie side so that might outweigh his casual preferences. I think we'd avoid any of the Fireworks-related times.... I'd rather include DD for something like that. Thank you!
