Children and supervision on Castaway Cay?

We are traveling with our DC both just a month shy of 10 years old when we sail. I am wondering what the rules are for children and/or is it even safe for children to go to activities together on their own without parents? Pelican Plunge? Please know this is a family vacation and there will be lots to do together, but I imagine that at some point they will want to keep going and we will be plum tuckered out and would love to just sit while they go off and play. What have others done? Thanks!

I have always sat on the beach and watched them in the water, just like I do on other beaches. If they want to go to the club, they have to check with me when they get out of the club (if they have sign out privelages).

There are secured children's activities on CC using the same check-in system as on board. However, they are away from the beach. In the past we've done land and water activities as a family before lunch, then checked the kids (10 & 8) in so they can continue playing while supervised. It's a great sandy area with time for free play or organized games.
