Boma - is it worth it?

We have reservations at Boma tonight. We Intended on staying at AK all day but the kiddos ended up needing a nap. So now we will have to get to AKL from POR. Is it worth the bus trip or should I just cancel? I'm sick of the buses already. Been standing room only since we got here. I'll go if it's worth it. Just want some opinions. Thanks!

For my DH and I we would walk to Boma if we had to We love the variety of foods and dishes that you just can't get anywhere. I highly recommend keeping it!

That's a hard one. Boma is a really unique restaurant. It's unlike any other on WDW property. If you have never experienced it, I would make the trip. Maybe after a nap, the kids will feel refreshed and the bus ride won't seem too bad.

I think it's worth it, but only because I know I love the food. You could take a cab one way, and bus the other? If you have picky eaters it may not be worth it to your family.

Honestly though, I would just save the cash (unless you're on DDP) and get on a boat to Downtown Disney to relax. Get a sandwich or something from WPE, let the kids run a little. : )

Boma is our favourite buffet. And we love hanging out at the resort before and after dinner. So much to see and do.

If you'r sick of the buses, then take a taxi. Sounds like you could use a nap, too!

Taxi.

We love Boma.

When we stayed at POFQ, we took the bus from AK to AKL at end of day (this obviously doesn't work for you) and after eating at Boma we took a taxi back to POFQ. This was our trip in 2006. After that we always rented a car so that we could come and go anywhere easily.

Enjoy whatever you decide.

Thanks. I think we will go. I've been looking forward to it. I just had no idea how exhausting Disney was with kids! It's our third trip but our first with our kiddos. I underestimated it lol. Day 2 and I'm pooped! Everyone is napping so I'm going to unwind with a nice walk around the grounds. That'll recharge me. So beautiful here!

Thanks again!

Good choice to go. I love Boma and it is my most anticipated ADR! We dine there the first day of our trip, on Nov 27. I would take a cab. It won't cost that much, I am guessing $12-15?

Anyone chiming in ever eat at Portobello? We cancelled WCC after the menu change and added Portoboello. I am contemplating cancelling Portobello for Boma.

We have an ADR at Boma this year too.....I'm glad to read it's worth it. We've never at there but I'm looking forward to the resort .

It's our first ADR of the trip though, so we won't be too tired. You'll have to come back and report how it was and if it was worth it
