New On Board Fun - Simulators

On our upcoming cruise on the Fantasy there is a new option for simulators such as miniature golf or sports. Has anyone else seen these on their upcoming cruise?

Does anyone know if my 3 kids can "share" an hour long session?

I'm sure they can share. That's my plan too. We have have a 6 and 11 year old. I sure if you showed up with 7 adults they may be more reluctant.

We reserved the golf simulator for an hour ($45) on a day at sea on the Fantasy. It isn't a mini-golf thing, it's a full blown simulator with full Callaway equipment (new sets). It's also completely dedicated on one half of the simulator room. You pick your course from like 100 options and hit away just like a regular course. With three of us (adults) who are average golfers, we made it through 6 holes in an hour. The putting part of the simulator is ridiculous as you will see if you choose this. There is a "skip ahead" option when you get to putting and I wish we would have seen that before the 5th hole.

The other side of the simulator room was the virtual sports games. When we had golf, there were probably 8 kids in there playing soccer against Goofy. Don't know if there is a participation limit, but just know the more people the less chances per hour you'll have.

Yeah, I wish I could reserve 3 for the same 1/2 hour, but it looks like there's only one available at a time.

Thinking about booking this for DH and BIL when we sail on the Dream in December. I've read a few different things and wanted to clarify... did your group pay $45 for the hour? Each of you didn't pay $45 ($135 total), correct?

And do you hit a real ball or is it a virtual ball?

Thanks for the info!!
