Christmas 2013
I know its well over a year out but I am so excited to go back again I wanted it all booked ASAP. So the day after the 2013 rates came out I emailed DU for a quote. I had to wait a few weeks as the Nov/Dec rates were not released. Anyway quotes are in and deposits paid thanks to Jen at DU.
We are heading out day after eldest DD exams in late November. We are heading to Disneyland first staying at the Grand Californian, then we are off to WDW for a week at the Yacht Club, then to Universal Studios for 4 days at Portofino and then back to WDW for another week at Wilderness lodge. After that we head off to NY for 5 days before arriving back in Australia Christmas morning. Love the idea of the split stay it allows us to do all the Epcot and Boardwalk restaurants first then the rest of the restaurants. Love my food, I have been playing around with our dining plan for weeks. Love studying the menus of each restaurant. All I need to do is book flights early next year.

Can't believe it... this is pretty much the trip we are planning!! Leave end Nov/early Dec, DL, WDW, NY! No dates sorted yet, and we are going with another family from Perth. Planning a FQ stay at this stage (I want to do movies on the green again, and boat to DD), and probably DL hotel on the other side (not sure yet). Love their big beds and light-up headboards.
So... DU is the way to go you reckon? Trying to decide whether to do the bulk of our "non Dis" visits - eg Universal/Legoland - on the CA or FL side. Your 4 day split looks great... Wooooooooo!

Oooooh sounds like a wonderful trip. All those beautiful Christmas decorations in the parks. Yay.
You will love WL if you haven't stayed there already. Our family adored it.

We're off to WDW at the last week of term 4 2013 too, and we are also doing a Fantasy cruise. Also doing a road trip back to Dallas then Christmas in Montana and DL for Cars Land since it opened after we left earlier this year.

If I were you i would do your non-disney visits in Orlando. Universal is much better and also has Harry Potter World. You have sea world and a number of water parks. LAst time we went at Christmas it was still warm enough to swim every day. Quote:
