Special Request for Beach Club
I am staying with my family of 5 at the BC 1/2-1/10/13. I know there is a good amount of balconies that are small and we would like the larger one. We booked online using the Disney website and there were no special remarks/instructions to enter anything. Do I call Disney or do I wait till I get to the resort?

Definetly call....and then call a week or so before you go and then ask again on check in.

Definitely call and have it listed then request it again at checkin.
We had requested a day bed and full balcony. We got the daybed only at check in. I requested to be moved to a room with a daybed and full balcony after I found out. The CM was really nice and patient. He even sent up signed cards for my kids for the delay, which was totally not necessary or requested.

ITA that you should call!!
But also remember that it is a popular request and there are limited rooms with full balconies. If a full balcony is an absolute MUST for an enjoyable vacation, consider a hotel where this is a guarantee. Beach Club is a a very cheerful place and such a short walk to Epcot. You might enjoy it even without a balcony.

The advice everyone has given you is excellent. Call the Disney reservations line now to add a request for a full balcony to your reservation. Call again 10 days to a week before your trip.
Do not do the online checkin. Wait until you get to the resort to see what room you have been assigned and if it does not have a full balcony, ask if there is a room available that does.
