Disney outlet store
CAn anyone help me with the kinds of merch and level of discount at the outlet store? This trip we will have a car for the 1st time and want to check it out.
Thinking the one closest to the parks which is the premium outlet I think. Just curious what to expect. Is it worth the time and effort or not? |

It is typically last season's (or earlier) merchandise. It is stuff that comes straight from the parks, not the crappy "Florida Mickey" stuff they sell at the tourist traps/Wal-Mart. It is very hit and miss as most outlets are. Last week I bought an AK hooded sweatshirt for $17 (originally $60) and the same designed t-shirt is still available at AK for $21.95. To me, it's always worth a trip. I rarely come away empty handed. Plus it's only a couple of miles off site and if you're a java junkie there's a Starbucks right next door.

Sometimes you'll find something great - sometimes not. You never know what they'll have, but when they DO have good items, the prices will be pretty good.

As others have said....you just never know what you might find.
Of the several Disney Outlets, I find the ones in the Premium Outlets and the Prime One Outlets (north end of I-Drive) to be the best. |

We went in June to the prime and premium and I noticed that most items offered were at each store. But I always usually find something good.
For example, in June I found Vinylmation for $7.99, the limited edition dream inaugural ears for $27.99, pins, and nice dream inaugural shirts. The only thing I don't like with the outlets is that the shirts are very nice but sometimes hard to find a size to fit you. I found a great 40th anniversary polo but only in a small size. Hope this helps!

We've found that the outlet stores are a bit hit and miss. Some visits we find wonderful bargains in something we actually want. Other visits we find wonderful bargains in many things we would never buy, even at a discount. It really all depends on what Disney is trying to get rid of when you happen to visit.
As a PP has noted, finding something in the right size is always a challenge. Especially if you wear a common size. Oh, and watch out for some of the stuff they put right near the door when you walk in. Some of it is actually current merchandise at full price. |

Don't forget about the Theme Park Connection store in Orlando. They sell items on ebay, but have a full warehouse that you can visit.
You can see some of there stuff at www.themeparkconnection.com i don't know them or work for them - just a happy customer.
