Directions to Universal
We are going to see WWOHP for one day while at Disney. We also rented a car for the first time while being on property, so we will be driving. Is Universal easy to get to? Are there any general directions anyone has from CBR?

Universal Studios is very easy to get to from Walt Disney World. You will need to get on I-4 North. There are 3 WDW I-4 interchanges, so depending on which hotel you are staying at will determine which interchange is easiest for you. The Epcot Center DR interchange will probably be closest to CBR. There is plenty of sinage on WDW property directing you to I-4 so don't worry. You will take I-4 North to the Universal Studios exit, exit 75. From there you will follow the signs to the Universal Parking area. It is a very easy 30 minute trip from WDW. All day parking at Universal will cost $15. There are two large parking garages which are only short walk from the parks. So your vehicle will stay shady and cool while you enjoy the parks unless of course you are unlucky enough to park on the top level. Both Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure generally open around 9AM, I would recommend being there at rope drop and going directly to WWOHP in Islands of Adventure before the lines get too long.
Good Luck and Have Fun! Nice to see someone venturing off WDW property to enjoy Universal, I always do. |

Exit CBR, turn right, follow signs to I-4, then I-4 EAST toward Orlando. Take I-4 to exit 75A approx 8 miles. Turn left at end of ramp, parking garage is a little over 1/4 mile on right

A lot of people are calling it I-4 north when in fact it'll be I-4 east towards Orlando since I-4 is an east- west highway but it goes almost north south through Orlando. There's also several ways to get to Universal through ground streets if you want to avoid I-4.

FWIW all interstate highways ending with an even number, are East/West, and ones ending with an odd number, are North/South.
When I-95 was constructed thru Connecticut, they labeled all the signs East/West, because that's the direction that I-95 travels thru CT. They then had to change all the signs to North/South.
