Help....my kids' MNNSHP costumes...are they ok?

We will be attending the MNNSHP on Oct 30th. This trip is a surprise for my kids so they have no clue this won't be just another trick or treat on the streets night!!! My daughter wants to be Katniss Everdeen and my son is insisting on something scary....1st he chose the devil and my hubby said no because it's was too evil. Now he's choosing the Grim Reaper. Will Disney allow this?! I've tried and tried to talk him into the Mad Hatter without giving away the surprise but he's not falling for it!!

Okay, TOTALLY OT, but as you do your Christmas shopping...I just saw there is a Katniss collector Barbie, if she might be interested. Only like two shopping months left!!! Yikes!

If your son wants to do scary, could you convince him to be a Disney villain? Maybe Dr. Facillier, Hades, Scar, or Sid from Toy Story?

Won't it be too hot for that sort of a costume?

I didn't see anyone dressed that scary that wasn't Disney based. The scariest things we saw where zombies like the ones in the parade. Im sure there were some, but the majority were Disney in theme or happy things... like the surfs

I saw some really creepy ghosts one year. Faces painted with sunken eyes, tattered cheesecloth costumes, they looked great and VERY creepy.

As long as the costume isn't gory or really inappropriate, the costume's good to go.

We saw all kinds of costumes...from family friendly to scary to somewhat revealing....I think your son will be okay as death/Grim Reaper (he does make an appearance in Mickey's Christmas Carol...)

Great Point. Let him have fun, all though he might change his mind once he knows.
