Has anyone ever had a problem getting to pre-park breakfasts? Talk me down, please.

We are going in early February, and are going to CRT for the first time, I woke at the crack of dawn 180 days out and got an 8:05 reservation. We are very excited; and, at the time, I didn't worry at all about making it as we were planning to drive to the world, so we'd have our car.

Well, we are flying now. No plans to rent a car as we are staying at the Boardwalk and transportation isn't supposed to be that bad (only need it for 2 parks, at least).

I'm getting freaked out about not being able to catch a bus to MK. Our plan is to be at the stop at 6:30am, but I'm still concerned. We have a large party, and I'll be out several hundred bucks if the bus doesn't come in time. We can't do a cab since we have two small kids and no car seats.

Am I being nutty? Should we be fine? I'd love to hear others experiences!

Thanks!

I'm pretty sure you can request a cab with car seats.

How large is your party? Would you need multiple cabs, so that it would cost quite a bit? They do have cab vans that hold 7 or 8, and they are the same rate as a regular cab. You would just have to tell them you need a van or two instead of cab cars.

The other thing you can do, other than requesting the taxi (vans) with car seats, is to just go to the concierge desk the night before and ask what time the first bus leaves in the morning for MK breakfasts. Then plan on being at the bus stop 5 or 10 min. before this with your entire party ready to go.

MK, is supposed to open at 9:00 that day.

I've never heard of getting a cab with carseats, but my main cab experience involves flagging them in NYC. We have 7 in our party.

Take a deep breath, people do this all the time!! Find out when buses start running. I always thought 7 am, someone had mentioned 6:30 am on another thread. Make sure you are at your bus stop a few minutes before that time to make sure you get the first bus to MK. You'll be fine!

Buses usually start around 1 hour before Park opening, so if the park opens that day at 9 Am ..and considering travel time you would need to find an alternative. I would suggest that you contact the resort you are staying at and they can advise you.

Buses start earlier than that, for the purpose of getting people to their early ADRs. OP can use the resort buses to get to their ADR, if they chose to do so. They only need to get to the bus stop early, as the buses don't run as frequently then as they do the rest of the time.

Btw, there is no way to contact any Disney resort directly. All calls go to a call center, and unfortunately they don't always give out correct info.

Take breath a relax. As another poster said people do this all the time.

In fact, we do it every time we go to Disney. Just ask at the front desk when the first bus for Magic Kingdom arrives that morning and be there a few minutes prior to that time.

We had two 8:05 ADRs with park openings at 9 on our May 2011 trip. We took the bus from SSR with no problem. The concierge said the bus would be there at 7. It was probably there closer to 7:10, but we made it both times with plenty of time to spare.

We have three ADRs scheduled this time prior to opening! They worked great for my family!!!

Early ADRs

Last time at Disney (2010) we were told the buses run according to ADRs at park restaurants not park openings. I think someone previously has said the same. The monorail and boats do not run early however, so don't count on these. We did and we were a little late getting to MK for CP early res.
Using DTD as a transfer point works late after parks close but is very slow!!

We had a 8am ressie at Chef Mickeys and we were at the bus stop by 7am... the bus was empty so the driver after contacting dispatch took us straight there. It is totally doable so no worries!

We've had 8:05am ADRs (when the park opened at 9) at both MK and Epcot, and never had a problem getting there on the bus. I've never been able to find a seemingly valid answer to when the busses start, but they always seem to get us there no matter how early the need.

The Disney CMs unfortunately tend to be pessimistic about transportation - On our first trip, we were told that the monorail wouldn't start running in time to get us to our Chef Mickey ADR (from Poly), so we paid for a taxi. As we were getting in - the monorail showed up, and it beat us there by several minutes.
