Arrival of the Disney Magic in Galveston

I know the first Cruise out of Galveston is Sept 22nd. But does anyone know when the the Magic arrives at the port for the first cruise?

I believe early on the same Saturday morning. I'd go check the meets board because there're meets planned to greet the Magic.

Yep, we're planning on greeting her arrival, and wishing her Bon Voyage as she sails out later that afternoon, with lunch & fun in between! Unfortunately, they can't give us an exact time for the Magic's arrival, just sometime between 5 and 7am. But a few of us will still be there! Feel free to come join us! Link is in my sig.

Lookin' like maybe diehard breakfast at Denny's on Seawall Blvd. @ 4 a.m., too! We can track the Magic's approach on our schnazzy new iPhone 5's then pop over to the pier in time to see her arrive. I'll be there with my ears on!

That's the plan! Gonna keep funneling in the coffee beforehand... LOL! I think hubby has to go to work after we finish up with her arrival. Poor guy. I wonder if he'll even go down to Galveston with me. I should make my teenage boys go with me. After all, I *did* sit/stand outside a GameStop for 5 hours last year with the oldest for the launch of the new edition of his favorite video game.

Oh that sounds like so much fun! I would love to take my kids to greet the ship but we live all the way up in The Woodlands and are cruising out Oct 20th. My kids (age 3 & 4) know we will go on "Mickey Mouses Ship" but have no clue what that actually means since ether have never seen a cruise ship before. Greeting the ship would be awesome but leaving the house at 2:30am with two toddlers doesn't seem smart. Lol

I miss the days of Shoney's on Seawall. Oh those cheese fries... sweet heavenly mother of clogged arteries. Tell her hello from a homesick Texan. I cannot wait to drive into my home state to sail her in Feb! If y'all eat at Gaido's for lunch, I want a lunch report.. so I can live vicariously. Dang diets and geography!

For those of you WANTING to see it but don't live close like we do...Galvston.com offers "cams" around the city and One is looking directly at the sides of cruise ships (Strand cam) and another directly at the front of the cruise ship on dock ♥ not sure how to post links from my phone but when I get a chance in the morning to get on the PC I will certainly do that

Yay! Hubby loves being there to see any cruise ship sail out. The sons want to sail out on the Carnival Magic after seeing the giganto slides up top. Going to be interesting having 2 different Magic's sailing from Galveston now!
