I just bought DVC APs in August. Can I upgrade these passes on my December trip to PAPs?

This stinks..... We are DVC members and Florida residents and I just paid 600$ each for our family of four (including a 5 &7 year old!). NOW theymdiscount them by $200 each? It took a lot for me to bite the bullet with no discount on the kids ticket....but this ismjust insulting!

Not to sound too condescending here,(believe me that's not the plan) but you say you are a DVC member? Why didn't you purchase the DVC price...Either the new one @$425 + tax or the older one (Pre June 3rd) which had adult & kid price... Just sayin..

Please enlighten me with a link where PAP's are 425$ for DVC members. We were told they are the same as Florida resident passes as far as price.

Go back to WDW, you should have gotten either the DVC or Fl. resident discount. Hope this is taking care of for you.

I'm confused! Everything I see saysnthe rate for a PAP for DVC and Fl Residents is 595 including taxes.

Are you all saying that isn't right? If so why would they have ripped us off?

It doesn't make much sense! All the passes say FL Premium AP.

No. You are right. The other posters are quoting the price for a regular DVC AP, not the DVC PAP.

The regular prices for AP are currently the same for both DVC Members and Florida Residents

You need to order them from the DVC Web Site (you get an email voucher).

Got to Member Privileges > Member Perks > click on Walt Disney World Resort > click on WDW AP Savings > scroll down to How to Purchase an AP and click on Disney World Ticket Store.

You are correct Suellen, the price for a DVC PAP is $559 plus tax, making it $595.33 (or maybe $595.34) with tax. The price being quoted ($425+tax) is for a DVC AP, not a DVC PAP.

You can find a chart of annual pass prices here. The prices do not include the 6.5% tax.

I just got off the phone with Ticketing Administration. The internal notice does say on it:

"NOTE: Upgraded ticket price must be an equal or greater value"

So refunds will not be done.

However, it was suggested that the Guest who comes between October 1 and December 31, 2012, purchase a voucher in advance and hold it until their current AP expires and then exchange it for a PAP next year.

I have DVC Discounted AP's waiting for us at Will Call we arrive Oct 11th....I bought these I believe in June before price increase. I'd like to upgrade those to the PAP, I'm not concerned about a refund as I don't think it would be that much and the benefits of the PAP would out weigh the difference as well.

I do not want to purchase new vouchers as I'm not sure if future trips other than one next year...and I really don't want to put additional money out either. Should I activate the ones at will call and then go to Guest Relations and upgrade or can I do the upgrade at will call and be done. I'm planning on doing this at Epcot if that make a difference...

My AP expires at the end of January 2013. I understand that I can buy a new DVC PAP for $399 between October 1 and the end of 2012 and it will be a voucher which means the clock won't start ticking until I use it, which will be in April 2013. I don't want to renew my pass and have it expire at the end of January 2014 I want to use my pass in April 2013 and have it expire in April 2014.

What I am unclear on is can I purchase this voucher only on the DVC website or can I also do this at a Member Services window at the parks? I'm afraid if I buy at the parks they will do a renewal.

Thanks.
