Lanyard

I was wondering if my daughter would wear a lanyard. She can't stand tags, "itchy" clothes, seams etc. but I was hoping that she'd wear a lanyard for pin trading (an excellent opportunity for practice in a scripted social interaction) and to hold her GAC. I'm guessing not. She always manages to squeeze out of her MNSSHP bracelet and I end up carrying it or pin it to her costume. Costumes - now that's a whole other kettle of fish. Where to find soft, no seamed, no tulle Halloween costumes.

Have you considered cotton costumes? I make dd's with cotton and french seams (no exposed seams to be "itchy").

My DD14 won't wear lanyards but she will wear a cross body purse. With a purse we can control the fabric (I hate the feel of lanyards too but I also wear a cross body purse at WDW). Depending on the material of the purse, you can attach the pins right to the fabric or the strap of the purse or else you can just keep them in a pouch in the purse. You can clip the GAC in a holder to the purse or else just keep it in a pocket of the purse.

If you go to etsy, there are lots of sellers who make costumes using comfortable materials such as cotton or fleece and I'm sure you work with people to use whatever fabric your DD likes.

I hate thing around my neck also I just use a card id holder that attaches to my pants with a retractable part so I don't need to take it off all the time. Would your son were something like that?

Mine has the plastic part for the GAC also like you would use on a lanyard.
