Magical express extra luggage - The DIS Discussion Forums

I will be flying us airways and using disneys magical express. I am planning on taking two pieces of checked luggage. I read that Disney only sends one luggage tag per person. Also read upon resort check out/airline check in, that you can only check in one piece of luggage per person. Is this true? I don't want to have to check in my luggage at the airport.

No, no and no!

Call DME and request additional luggage tags, they well send them to you. If you don't get the tags before you leave you can give you claim checks to the Cast Member at the DME desk and they will get untagged bags.

At RAC they will take as many bags as you want to give them, just be prepared to pay any additional baggage fees.

There is a sticky about DME. It gives very consise information.

I fly SW and regularly check 3 to 4 bags(we stay 3 wks) just call MS and request them...

if their flying an airline that charges bag fees they need to pay first before checking in at RAC . I don't believe RAC will take bag fees.

all you have to do is call ME the number is in back of the book they send and or call Disney and they will transfer you and ask for as many tags as you need. you can check as many as you want. now your air line may charge you for extra baggage but ME does not.

Since most people only fly with one bag now; they only send one tag. It doesn't mean you can only take one bag.

It is just cheaper for them to send out extra tags to those who need it, in lieu of sending everyone two tags each like they used to.

There are far more people flying with just one bag. Not to worry!
