Can you tell my daughter about "Tween Spending" at WDW?

This is a question from my 9-year old daughter (who is a planner like me!). She has been saving spending money for our trip this October and it occurred to her that she doesn't really know what she is saving for and how much she should be saving. She knows that she wants to do Pick A Pearl (approx $20+) but what else?

What souvenirs do your Tweens like to buy at WDW?

Thanks so much!!

Is she into American Girl dolls? If so they have a version Disney Doll... but more importantly they have a ton of outfits that fit the 18 inch AG dolls. I can't recall the price... over 20.... but my girls loved them. There is also cool jewelry options and lots of hair accessories. We buy a new hat each year too. It can add up very quickly.

Minnie ears I don't know a teen girl yet who doesn't get one. Not the hats, but the headband kind.

Disney has a ton of cute things for girls/ladies. Cute t-shirts, jewelry (the cute mickey bracelets), purses/wallets, flip flops, etc. And if she is anything like my 18 year old daughter who is just an overgrown child....toys and princess tiaras, lol.

ETA: I amost forgot...Perry pillow pets, LOL

While I'm not a tween anymore, I'm certainly not old and absolutely love the accessories they have at Disney. I got a really cute purse with Mickey and Minnie comics on there for about $30. I would suggest having her take a look at the Disney website online (I believe they have a section for park merchandise) so she can have an idea of prices and what she may like while she's there.

Disney has sooooo many things that a 9 yo girl would like. The doll for one, and outfits to go with her. They also have snow globes, pins, jewelry, watches, etc..... Downtown Disney has the huge World of Disney Store, prices are the same there as in the parks, but you get to see a lot of merchandise in one store.

Pin trading is a blast for kids as there are special lanyards for them. She can buy pins beforehand on e-bay and trade them for different pins when she gets there. There are posts about this that you can look at for more details. My daughter collected Stitch pins when she was 10. She is 16 and getting ready for another round in December.

My daughter is about to turn 10 and she used some of her spending money on Vinylmations. Both of my children enjoy pin trading too.
