Question About Annual Pass Upgrade Tip

So, I'm aware that if I buy a park ticket from a broker like Undercovertourist--and I use at least one day on it and upgrade within the 14 day window--that I can upgrade it to an AP and get the face value towards the AP. My question though... Is the pass considered "active" as of the day I bought the ticket, the day of the first ticket use, or the day of the upgrade? In other words, if I buy my tickets two months in advance and then upgrade at the park, will it take two months off my annual pass?

Start date is the day of first use.

If you bought the ticket on 4/5/12. And you first used it on 6/5/12 and you upgraded to an AP on 6/9/12 Your AP start date is 6/5/12.

Inspect your annual pass immediately.

The expiration date is punched in manually by the CM, as opposed to printed automatically using the computer system clock and calendar, and occasionally a mistake is made.

Thanks! I checked it over and I think I did it right. I bought my ticket (10-day Park Hopper w/ No Expiration) for $626 from Undercovertourist.com. I want to upgrade to a Premium Annual Pass, which is $744. So it should be around $66 cheaper for the AP when I upgrade! I do have to use the ticket at least once before I upgrade to get CGP though, yes?

yes - they will only convert the original pass to current gate price if it is used at least once, prior to the 14 day expiration.
