The fairfield inn is only a short and easy drive to the port. It takes about 20 mins. Nice clean modern hotel with a cracker barrell right next door. Lots of places to eat and shop right down the street.

We are booked at farfield as well...reviews seem positive...I'm sure we'll stick with it, but it does seem like standard reporting skills would have you include a list of eligible hotels in the article...lol

Exactly! I did find that Hampton Inn Cocoa Beach also offers the coupons. If the port is trying to increase parking revenue through this program, you would think a list of the hotels would be published. How are they going to release these articles and not let the public know how to access the program???

I will also most likely stay at the Fairfield Inn. I like the price and it looks very nice.

This site has an updated list, but it doesn't list 12 hotels, only 8.

Thanks for that list. Says it was updated in December, so maybe some new hotels joined the program at the beginning of the year.

We used this offer for the Hampton Inn at Cocoa Beach. Resort was very nice and our room overlooked the ocean. Very pretty! The 40% off was a nice bonus since we planned on staying down there the night before anyway.

Parking port Canaveral

We are staying at Hampton inn cocoa beach for our cruise in July. How do we get the 40% coupon? Also can it be applied to preferred parking? Thanks

Do we pay when we park or when we return from the cruise?

You pay when you exit, so at the end of your cruise.
If you use the hotel discount, you just show them the voucher your received (ours was attached to our hotel bill) and pay the discounted amount.

We were given the voucher when we checked in. Be prepared to show your hotel receipt when you pay (and turn in the voucher) at PC after your cruise. I don"t know about preferred parking, we just parked in the regular parking deck.

Was looking for a thread like this and couldn't find it. Started a new one, but will move here.

Out of the 8 hotels listed in the other web site, there's also to add the Hampton Inn in Titusville.

I talked to the front desk yesterday, and they confirmed they are doing the 40% promotion as well. Also, the coupon is given regardless of the booked rate (AAA, Expedia, TripAdvisor, HH points, etc.)

Also, I wanted to point out that the Port now is taking parking reservations. It doesn't say if you get assigned parking, but it does give you a rate once you enter the actual dates of arrival and departure.

Now, this is interesting as there has been confusion with regards of the rates for parking that the port gives. Their rates are based on 'days' not 'nights'.

"3-day, $60; 4-day, $75; 5-day, $90, and 7-day, $120 for vehicles up to 20 feet in length"

But if we use the calculator and put rates based on the departure and arrival dates (using for example 10am arrival and 10am departure) the rate is proper for a 3n, 4n, 5n or 7n sailing.

For example, arrival on Sat. Dec. 20th 10am, departure on Sat Dec. 27th 9am, the rate shown is "Rate for 7-Day cruise - $120". Of course this is the price for 8 days based on $15 per day.

So bottom line, is the prices listed for cruises per day are correct - they should be listed as per night instead...

I don't understand what you mean by that.

The price they quote is per day, and that is what they charge you. If you use the coupon it's 9 dollars per day, and for a 7 night cruise that ends up being 72 dollars. At full price it's 120 dollars. The offsite parking places do it the same way, by day, so that a 7 night cruise costs for 8 days. Most airport parking lots work this way also.

The confusion is that the port lists pricing as follows:

7 day cruise - $120.

Cruising on the Fantasy is 7 nights, so you would actually think you need to pay for an extra day. That's not the case as the price quoted by the port is in fact the price for an 8 day (or 7 night) cruise: $15 per day x 8 days = $120
