That's what I say, too. Way cheaper (and more fun) than therapy!!!

I forgot to add above - we save the money. Then I charge it all, and pay off the charge card with the saved money. That way I accrue miles/cashback

I will probably take 300.00 and then have my cc to back up in case I need it too

Our last trip was less than $2000. The next one will be 3 or 4 depending on whether we go moderate or deluxe. I suppose it will also depend on how long we stay for. Right now I"m hoping for 10 nights, but who knows. If we have to do another trip for less than $2000, we will.

In my world, Disney is the easiest place to vacation with kids. Everything is right there. My trips aren't as frequent as I'd like them to be (we've been out of the country for a while) but as long as we're taking vacations with the under 10 set, Disney will be a front runner when we're making our decision.

I am sure if you are like me.. You get flack for spending so much money and going so often...
Just kind of wondering how much other families spend and how do you pay for it? Saving, Credit Cards, Just have the money??
I dont see how people dont like it.. Ahh, Just the magical feeling, the sights, smells, food, family time.. I LOVE IT ALL. Every stinkin bit!
We definitely get flack until I brag about how little we spend. People assume Disney is ridiculously expensive but it doesn't have to be. For our trip next month I'll spend $2200. Last year we spent around $2500. There are 5 of us so I think $2200 is pretty good. I can't imagine getting it lower. We don't do table meals, we stay offsite and we drive. I know that's not possible for everyone.

I'm guessing she left off that there was something "free" or extremely reduced by rewards points. Maybe frequent flier miles? I'm sure there are lots of us who'd love to see her break down the trip and give pointers!

We go every year. This will be our second trip coming up this year. In June we went 5 days for 3 "adults" (one a teen foster child) a toddler and a child for $2500 total. This fall will be 6 nights 2 adults, 2 kids, poly club level for $3800 total. This includes food and trans. My record trip was $1400 all inclusive 7 days.

We won't take a trip if we can't pay for it. To cover this fall trip we've cut out our weekly eating out the last 2 months and watched our other spending so we have the money for it.
15+ (lost count!) to WDW: Golf Resort (now SOG), Polynesian (honeymoon!), Caribbean Beach, AS Sports & Music, POP, BCV, BWV, AKL-Kidani, BLT

5 People (2 real adults, 2 "Disney" adults, and 1 eight year old), 15 nights at AKL-Kidani, with Y.E.S. tickets for 8 Days WPF&M plus hopper, around $3,800.

Trip before this one was 14 nights for 8 people on dining plans and was just about $5,000.

We are doing a budget trip next month. DD got married in July and so our funds are not what they usually are
We are staying off property at Bonnet Creek for a week for $837
We got YES tickets for 5 (7 day hoppers)....$995
We are driving down and will need a hotel overnight on the way down...$100
(driving back in one day)
Parking at the parks...$98
MNSSHP tickets....$308.58

We have Disney rewards/gift cards for our food which I got by signing up for a cc, surveys, our food is free The only other expense we will have will be gas down and back.
We are usually closer to a $4000 price tag (and we have always stayed on property) staying at value, mod, deluxe and villa. Just depends on where we stay and what deal they have going on. I am afraid I will like the space that Bonnet Creek has to offer and we may never go on property again
