EE goes backwards. In the dark. It's awesome. Also, it's more comfortable (imo) than BT.

I did not do EE but my DD said it is all about backwards movement, she did not like it. Also do not forget EE got much bigger drop, not even comparable to TM. However, she said EE was not as bumpy.

Gravity pull on Everett is much stronger, but it's a smoother ride. But that withstanding, my 6 year old loves it over Big thunder. His 10 yr old brother not so much. Big thunder is more rattling.

~Expedition Everest is more intense on the thrill meter and just a notch above Big Thunder Mountain. EE is one of my favorite coasters ever and I think it's much smoother than Big Thunder Mountain Railroad! If you can handle Big Thunder Mountain, I think you'll be okay on EE. Also, Expedition Everest is beautiful and has one of the best queues in WDW! Have fun!

EE is definitely smoother movement and you don't feel like you might fall out the sides. It's more like Rockin' Roller Coaster at Hollywood Studios (so still want to call that MGM), just without the upside down or sudden start.

EE is awesome. IF you like coasters. To me, it's in between, Rockin Rollercoaster and Big Thunder Mountain. It's a lot of fun.

I hate roller coasters and was sorta on the fence about EE but when we rode it in Dec '11 I would have to say that I really liked it and would ride again. I like wooden coasters but hate those that go upsidedown. This wasn't bad at all to me and im a fradie cat..lol

I like BTMRR but simply LOVE Everest!

The theming of both the ride and the queue is incredible! The view from the way up the mtn and from the broken track (before the backwards part) are amazing (try to go on the front row and look to the right of the broken track for a view of Spaceship Earth and other WDW icons! )

And of course the ride is faster than BTMRR, but it is also smoother and more comfortable. I'd advise everyone to try it at least once! (Managed to take DMom last time and she usually hates coasters!)

Gotta love autoincorrect.

BTMRR is a runaway "mine train" while EE is more like a traditional big steel roller coaster. If you don't like the big coasters at Hersheypark, you probably won't like EE BUT (and it's a big but) you'll never know until you try it.

The theming is better than BTMRR and the section of track where you're backwards in the dark has to be experienced to be believed! Enjoy!

To be honest you can't compare one to the other. EE is way more intense than BTMRR. BTMRR is more comparable to space mountain and EE is more comparable to Rock 'n' Roller Coaster. Top speed of BTMRR is 30 mph while EE is 50 mph.

EE you are higher up, that might scare some people.

But really the ride is so much smoother and more comfortable than EE (or in my opinion any other coaster in Disney). Can also add EE is more comfortable for the pooh-sized rider IMO.
