what is SotMK

Is it like the Agent P game at Epcot? How does it work? Sounds like GS will love to do it.

The first link at top of a standard Google search gave me this link: http://disney.wikia.com/wiki/Sorcere..._Magic_Kingdom

The first few sections, especially Gameplay and Story, sum it up nicely.

Yes, similar, better in that you get cards that you can keep/collect, however in MK you can't enjoy adult beverages while "watching" your kids play which is a drawback imo

Thanks! This is right down GS's alley. Can't wait. He did Kim Possible before and this sounds like more fun.

Just wondering-does each person in your party get cards or one set per group?

Each person can get a set per day--basically anyone with valid park admission. I've managed to amass 200 in a half-dozen trips to the world this year with various friends and family.

However, keep in mind that if you have more than one person in your party start a new game you WILL be split up during the game. I've seen families try 2 or 3 or more different key cards before finding the right one for the portal they're at. When playing you basically have two options: play together as a group using 1 key card and pooling your spells OR play as individuals and accept being separated for as long as you choose to play the game.

Haven't had the chance to play it yet, but studied it quite a bit!

We'll be in a party of 4 in January. We'll all sign in for the game but I'm not sure how we'll play it yet. But I have a pretty good memory and a nice iPhone that is always in my pocket to help keep track of the right portal for each key
(so long as each one keeps its own key and we do not put them together!)

At either the Firehouse in Town Square at the entrance to MK or behind the Christmas shop in Liberty square. All cards and maps are free, with the exception of those included in the home-game edition that you do not need to play in MK.

What is a non-standard Google search? Is there some trick I'm not aware of?

I was implying, playfully, how easy it is to find out the answers to all basic SotMK questions without having to ask here. I'm glad the OP took it in the manner intended.
