Thank you! I loved POR. The pictures are nice, but the resort is even more beautiful.

I have been checking her website daily for our day to open. Actually twice a day. That way as soon as it opened I signed up for them. I really hope we get them! I went and looked again today because I applied on Friday and the dates are still listed as open, I hope that is a good sign for me.

We get so far, and we have to stop, I am assuming from the map that it was Saratoga Springs, because of the lightening that was supposedly happening. We wandered around to find their bus stop, waited for a bus to DTD, then waited for a bus at DTD, went to Typhoon Lagoon that had a massive bottleneck because it was closed from the lightening… By the time we got back to our hotel, it was around 7pm because I just went in with Blanche, left her and went to Hollywood Studios. I was on the bus by 7:20 and at DHS by 7:30ish.

Part 11: My first WDW Park in 2 years!

Blanche decided to stay at the resort and rest, and I decided to head out to Hollywood Studios. I love Fantasmic, and for 3 of my four other WDW trips, I saw Fantasmic on the first night. I wanted to do it again!

I walked through some of the stores… Like I’ve said, I love to shop at Disney. We don’t have a Disney store near here. There used to be 2 stores not TOO far away, one in New Brunswick (about 2 hours to drive there) and one in Nova Scotia (about 3.5 hours away) but they’ve both closed. So sad. So I love being at WDW or DL for shopping! I would shop on line more too, but it’s no fun when there are lots of duty and fees and such.

Fantasmic as a first night tradition is a great thing, I would love to go off on my own one night. Perhaps when we take Lia and I'll have DH stay in when she goes to bed and I can sneak off to see Wishes, Illumination or Fantasmic.

I just saw the previews for Once upon a time yesterday and I can't wait for the new season.

I actually think I wept a little when they closed the Disney store in Moncton... it was a sad day.

Oooh! You should go do some shows on your own sometime! It's really nice. I am thinking I'd like another solo trip. Maybe next summer.... I'll be going in March with my sister, her hubby and their three kids if it all works out for them, and I'll be keeping the 17 year old with me most of the time. I love him dearly, and the two little girls too, but after that, I'll want a ME trip! I'm very selfish when it comes to Disney! If it were a summer trip, I'd send them on their way and stay later! (If I could afford it I guess!)

I know I took a trip over to Moncton and Halifax before each store closed and made sure to buy tons of things to make up for the fact they were closing! I probably would have cried if it had been a PEI store.

Thanks! I love Rex with the Mickey bar too. So cute. There were a few characters with the Mickey bars if I remember correctly. It was hard not to buy them all!!!

I love the thrill of rides. My ride pictures are usually very boring. I just sit and smile because I love them so much. Once I got a picture on Dinosaur that was pretty good. My nephew was petrified (he hates when I say that!); he was holding on to my arm and had his head tucked in pretty close. I was loving it, but I am a tad little bit jumpy, so when the dinosaur roared overhead for the picture, I jumped/ducked and screamed all at once. I’ll have to find that one and scan it! It was a good one. Now, Blanche on the other hand, she usually looks absolutely terrified and it’s hilarious.

I wandered around a little bit more and decided to ride the Great Movie Ride. I hadn’t been on it in a few years, so I thought I would give it a go.

I decided I was too tired to wait for the second Fantasmic, so I headed out to the bus area. I had gone over at some point earlier, a few minutes before the first showing of Fantasmic, just to see if I could get a seat, and I started walking up the pathway. When they started announcing it was “Standing room only” I turned around. I was not about to stand. I was too tired! I heard them say they were full to capacity before I totally left the area anyways.
