kona cafe breakfast
i'm thinking of booking a last minute adr for kona cafe breakfast and just wondered what peoples opinions are of it? i'm looking at a 7.30 am reservation so would we just park at the MK and get the monorail straight to the poly?

What are you doing after breakfast?
If youre going to MK, then yes i'd say park at MK and catch the monorail. Its probably easier, than keep moving the car around. If you're doing something different, you can either- park at TTC, you can then walk to Poly in about 5 mins, or catch the monorail. or you can park at the Poly and say you have an ADR there and you should get in ok. We tried Kona breakfast last year, it was lovely

its going to be an MK day so i was thinking of an early adr so we don't miss out on park time. I didn't know that the poly was within walking distance so thats fab too! dbf isn't going to like me dragging him out of bed early
i'm sure he'll be happy once he sees steak and eggs on the menu!

I would park at the TTC and walk (or monorail) to the Poly - its easier to get back to. That early you will be right at the front of the TTC so no need to mess with trams
If you want to walk head towards the boat dock then keep left past the building and follow the path. You are in the grounds of the poly within a minute or so. Its about another 5 or so minutes to the main building - just follow the path round It is sign posted too.

let me piggy back on this thread with my own question.
we have breakfast at Kona's on the 26th october. But we mainly go for the tonga toast. Now we could get the tonga toast from Captain Cook's at POLY too, and for $5.19 when the tonga toast at Kona is $12.99. I find this a little expensive for the additional sausage link and 2 stripes of bacon. (we're paying OOP) So, since we're set on what we're gonna eat, is it worth it keeping this ADR, or shall we cancel and go for the counter service at Captain Cook's instead ? Is there any real difference that would justify the price difference other than the "meat" we won't really care about ? thoughts ?

Im not a fan of cooked fruit, so wouldnt like it. Although it looks impressive, I keep trying to get my husband to buy some. Think I should go to CC and try some. Perhaps ask in the food report section, there may be some people who have tried both and can help. I dont really think there is much difference and seeing as youre paying OOP i'd go for CC.
