? about FL Res. Rate

I paid my cruise off last month. Now there's a FL rate for it. Am I out of luck or can I still get it?
I have an 8B, the rate is for a 5A.

You can get it, but if your current cruise was booked during a prior cruise you would lose any OBC and rebooking discount. You may also lose your deposit if you are within your penalty period.

I was able to apply the FL res rate inside the penalty period. The penalty was waived. We went from an 11b to a 5b plus got a $384 refund.

Incorrect - penalty period does not apply for the FL res rate code. They apply the code and you get the refund.

If you did an OBB, Your TA can move it to another cruise (dummy date) so that you do not lose them.

We've done the above twice so I can speak from first hand experience.

Thanks everyone, I'm gonna call.

I'm trying to figure everything out before I do though. DCL.com is also showing 4D's with the FL rate (same price as cat. 5's). Is there anything wrong with a 4D? Obstructed view or anything like that?

This just seems too good to be true...

My 1st cruise we got $2600 back. I was in shock. That just tells you how expensive the cruises can run.

The 2nd time we did it we upgraded from Cat 8A (didn't need a verandah on a 3 night) to a 5A & got back $400.

Can't beat it and I LOVE LIVING IN FLORIDA 8)

I'd go where ever I could get a starboard aft room; total personal preference. The 4Ds are larger rooms & are midship on deck 6. They do look down onto the lifeboats. The 5As are on higher decks. I personally like decks 8 & 9. I would avoid deck 10 (overhang). I would choose 5A probably.

Again, personal opinion.

Why would you choose starboard vs. port?

I like the fact that the 4D's are bigger, but I'm not sure about the lifeboat situation. How much does it block your view?

This is more gasoline for the fire that Disney has priced themselves out of the market with these two ships. Now they are having to have discount, after discount. Good for yall.

Starboard for the view of Castaway Cay!!!

We've never had a port side room - I always choose starboard aft.

Proof of Florida residency is required for at least one adult member on the reservation to be faxed to 407-566-7739 within 48 hours of booking.
