Bummer. I guess we will have to talk and see if we will add the AK onto our itinerary. If not, Chef Mickey's here we come.

Tusker House! The additional african themed foods on the buffet and the fresh carved ham are standouts! And the juice is great!

Definitely Tusker House for breakfast, We've done Chef Mickey's for all meals and breakfast is definitely not their strong suite!, Tusker House is probably my favorite restaurant at Disney so I'm a bit biased but their breakfast is FANTASTIC as it has lots of stuff you may have never tried but wondered where it was all your life after trying it.
Try some quinoa with honey YUM, It's a bit like oatmeal but not Tusker house, Boma and O'hana probably have the best breakfast at Disney, With a nod to Tonga Toast at Kona!. I would skip breakfast at CM as it is to be charitable uninspired. Chef Mickey's is at their best at dinner, They have great pasta dishes and a pasta bar with a bunch of sauces (pesto sauce is GREAT) , the Salmon is wonderful and there are a bunch of chicken and beef dishes in addition to the carving station. Lunch is similar but not as much variety and I'd suggest going after 8PM to beat the worst of the crowds and the kids will get more time to interact with the characters. Last time we were there we had Goofy doing the dance numbers from 'Flashdance' it was a scream!. I think the bad reviews are largely from the breakfast crowd - we always try to get at least 1 dinner at CM's. Quote:

I vote for Donalds Safari Breakfast. It's awesome and we love the Jungle Juice.

I'm loving the info here. We're only doing 1 character meal during our trip next month, and it is 8:40 (that's the only time I could get) at TH.
Not sure I want to wait 30 minutes to see Donald. Daisy is the one my DS will probably enjoy the most. Does she come to the table? One more question. What time would you arrive at the park for the 8:40 reservation? I want to enjoy the walk to the restaurant.
