The Tyler Place Resort in Vermont. Awesome beyond words! We met quite a few PA people there so it must be a fairly reasonable distance by car

We live in Maryland and we really enjoy Williamsburg. Also if we just want a quick weekend get away we go to Ocean City or Rehobeth.

We generally mix it up and go to places that are within a day or so of driving. Generally the Southeast ...Atlanta, Birmingham, Biloxi, New Orleans, Jacksonvile, beaches down South and in the Panhandle of Fl. A lot of attractions around all these areas.

We live in Wisconsin and will take day trips to Wisconsin Dells or Devil's Lake State Park. Both are less than an hour away. We also have season passes to Six Flags Great America so we'll take a day trip or couple of days and stay at Key Lime Cove.

This is our first BIG family vacation. We have traveled to New Orleans, San Diego (specifically for Comic Con, but the city was nice), San Antonio (lots of times) and Galveston (lots of times.)

We go to the Wisconsin Dells nearly every winter to help treat our cabin fever! We always stay at the Kalahari Resort. Everytime we go, I tell my DH if they could put the Kalahari on Disney property, life would be perfect! They have a great indoor waterpark, a decent indoor themepark, and an indoor walkway to a movie theater. We love it because we don't have to set foot ourside when the weather is freezing!

A summer visit to the Dells is nice, too. There are a ton of waterparks, Deer Park (feed and pet the deer!), you can go on a Duck Boat ride, there is the Tommy Bartlett ski show, a Ripley's Believe it or Not place, a wax museum, tons of mini-golf, etc. It's a lot of fun!

We have also been to Myrtle Beach which was tons of fun. But we just recently went to Clearwater Beach and stayed at the Surfside Condos. Absolutely beautiful! The beach was gorgeous, the fishing was amazing, and everything was within walking distance.

If you have young children Story Land in New Hampshire and the North Conway area is fun. A little further north (approx 45 min drive) is Santa's Village. Cape Cod for beach fun. Boston, NYC & Washington DC for cities. Maine is beautiful- Ogunquit and Bar Harbor are my favorite areas. Newport RI- or the Westerly RI beaches. Maybe Hilton Head or OBX in the springtime.

We live in KY and are only 3 1/2 hours from Gatlinburg TN. The DH and I took our oldest down there to elope almost 5 years ago and we love it. We've been down there for every season and Christmas is probably my favorite time to visit. Autumn is a close second, just before the leaves fall. It's just absolutely stunning!

We live in SE PA, and we usually go to the Jersey Shore (in-law's favorite), or the Eastern Shore (my parents live on the Chesapeake). For short trips we do NYC, Baltimore, or DC. Longer trips - we've gone to Williamsburg or Chicago.

We're trying to get on the 3 year plan- where we go to WDW one year, the Jersey Shore one year, and somewhere we haven't been yet the third year (last April we went to Sweden to pick up my Volvo). Right now we're on a WDW kick (which I'm fine with), with a long weekend in NJ to satisfy the in-laws.

We've been around here in CO a bit. Nothing like a "staycation" to be cheap!

Family has dictated a lot of our other visits. Palm Springs, WA state area, Oregon next summer, Outer Banks in NC, Colonial Williamsburg, Jamestown, DLR (not too far from ILs), Phoenix. I have to say the Outer Banks are awesome and a lot of fun.

We do Myrtle Beach, Pawleys Island or Edisto Beach, or Gatlinburg. We're in a great spot, three hours to the ocean and three to the beach.

Roller coaster park marathon. Season passes that let you access all of one companies parks are much cheaper than WDW tickets but have to travel between parks so add in some gas. State parks are also great for relaxing vacation time.
If you are going to collect pins.... collect the Villains!
