I am suprised Disney are allowing such poor internet in their resorts, many people need a good connection for work while on holiday, will put many off staying there. Its certainly one of the factors swaying me towards offsite next year, Fairfield Inn gave us 30 times faster than OKW.
Don't worry about it, you enjoy your trip.

Just curious... At the resorts do you have to pay for wifi?

Free now but very mixed reports, we had 1mbps at OKW, connection dropping all the time till I rang support, useless by the pool. It was better before when we paid $10/nt but expensive, cost me nearly $200 last year.

$10 a night I jut wouldn't bother paying. Useful to have for free though, even if it's not that reliable? Unless you need it for work, I guess.

agreed. I will miss the wired hi speed connection even if it was expensive.
Wayne mentionned people working while on holiday. I'll add that I don't trust wi-fi connections especially when they're open. I certainly wouldn't use the wifi to make bank transfer (or money card recharge) or send my credit card number over that network. The transfer rates may be low, but the wifi is obviously a move towards mobility and whatever nextgen stuff they have in store. They will eventually need to fix the data rate (question is : when and how ?)

One of the advantages of staying offsite, we got 6mbps at Hawthorn Suites LBV.
