Rapa-Nui?
Anyone have any thoughts about the Rapa-Nui blg good or bad. The closeness of the walk to TTC is attractive for runners coming back from EPCOT and I think I've read here somewhere that it's one of the newer buildings?

Help!
Ok Poly lovers, I need your help. Currently we are booked at the Beach Club (10/22-10/27) and I am seriously considering switching to the Poly. We would get a garden view as my bounceback only has rooms available in that category or Lagoon View CL for $800 more than what I'm currently paying.
How bad is the volcano pool crowded? I know that the guests of the GF can use it with the construction going on over there. How loud is the construction noise? How bad (or good) are the garden view rooms? I figured my only requests would be ground floor, no parking lot view

I didn't hear any construction noise at all when we were there last week. the pool was busy but not so overcrowded you couldn't find space to be...there was plenty of room, my 3 kids and husband were in it almost every day mid-afternoon. The "quiet" pool was just that...several times my family had it to ourselves or just one or 2 other people. My personal opinion is there are no bad views at the poly..the grounds are so beautiful and lush... There are a few views in Rarotonga that you may see the parking lot..but I believe those are on the 3rd floor as the surrounding landscape hides it from view. |

We have stayed at both the Poly and the BC, once each within the last year. We will not be returning to the BC anytime soon, if ever. We had room issues, plus the whole resort was always crowded and loud. Especially the SAB pool. Just not our idea of a vacation. The Poly on the other hand was wonderful. And we can not wait to return!! The whole resort and the volcano pool was never crowded when we were there and it was summer time. I'm not sure how much the GF guest are having an impact on the Poly pool now. I'm hopeful it's not crowded when we get there!! I would think you would be able to have those room requests met pretty easily. Good luck with your decision!

Just got an email from JetBlue that they are releasing new dates for travel this weekend!
I am so excited. Once I book those plane tickets everything is going to seem that much closer! |

So after 2 days at the BWI I am so happy our next trip is back to the Poly. I like the that the BWI is newer, brighter, not as damp & no bugs. Love the dining choices. But I just don't feel the magic I feel at the Poly. Can't exactly put my finger on it. Luckily my DBF is happy at either.

Oh my goodness, I just realized our trip is in 29 DAYS!!!
That is, unless DH doesn't have a job. There are troubling rumblings. I've been planning this for over 2 years...wouldn't you know there would be a last minute catastrophe! ![]() Remember the "Friends" episode when Monica and Chandler's surrogate didn't know who the father was? Either the football hero or Shovely Joe? DH and I always joke because our luck isn't exactly the greatest. Chandler's line, "Honey, it's us. Of course it's the shovel killer." is a running joke with us. Ah well, prepare for the worst and hope for the best is my motto! |

I love that photo so much.I have been feeling the "trip is over" depression pretty badly this past week. Between that and the fact that I caught a pretty wicked cold while I was down there (didn't hit me until we were leaving, thank God) I've been slacking on posting my report and photos. I have to get moving on that. Here's another shot that I really liked: ![]() Here's the full resolution shot. Someday, I hope to take a photo that accurately captures the beauty of this place at night. I believe that it is impossible.
