We are staying from June 27th - July 2nd. it is at the end of a split stay. I went ahead and booked a cabana on the 28th to ensure we have some shade and my DH can relax too. I am excited!! The total was 117.00 for 4 hours. We get chairs and loungers, tv, fridge with soda and water along with a fruit basket.

Yay! Also, as a result of another thread, I found the following link indicating that there are ICED coffee machines at Captain Cooks as well. I'm so excited it that's actually true as I prefer my coffee iced at the time we go (scorchingly hot temps of August!) http://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2013/0...nesian-resort/

Currently staying at the poly. Be aware of construction going on. Jackhammers and nailing. Agh!
We had to be moved to a completely new building.

I haven't heard any noise since we checked into Hawaii yesterday. Was it a lagoon or garden side room? Did you get turn down service in Hawaii? We did not and thought we were supposed to. Otherwise things here are great!

You're supposed to but the maid comes by anywhere from 5-8 pm. I kind of thought turn down was a silly service before we stayed CL but its so nice because the maid also re-cleans the room- were talking folds the towels in the bathroom and everything! We took afternoon breaks and were always happy to have a freshly cleaned room and a little something sweet!

I guess we will see what happens tomorrow. We took an afternoon break and nothing changed in our room from when we left until we returned from the park tonight.

Where exactly is this happening? How is progress with the fire pit?

I reserved a Cabana also for one morning during our stay (10-2). When I showed Bob the pictures of the Cabana he said that was his idea of a vacation, he is not normally a pool person so I hope the weather is cooperative as we are visiting in November.

Anyone who has been to the Poly recently or is there now notice if the second Cabana is back in place yet?

What building were you in that you had to be moved?

We had a cabana today and since the second one was not up yet, they chose us to upgrade to have the Kilauea or premium one! It was awesome! I only wish I had a few more people I knew to share it with as all my girls wanted to do was swim! Loving the Poly!

Just returned from a short stay in the Tahiti building and I must say it is a ways from the GCH. It is not so bad of a walk to the pool, bus stop or boat, and of course really convenient to the TTC. Very quiet and pretty, lush landscaping outside our room. I was pleasantly surprised that the 2nd floor rooms have balconies at Tahiti. All in all, for our money, we liked Samoa building a lot better due to its closeness to most everything(except the TTC).

Was at Rappa Nui, right next to the walk to Ticket Center. 2nd floor. Loved the location.
However, we were awoken by hammering at 9 am. So we got moving and got out. After a full day at the park the kids needed a nap at 3-4 pm. Jackhammering in a room on the end of the bldg. called the front desk after it continued for 15 minutes. It was shaking the walls and ceiling. Maintenence came and said, "oh,don't worry. They'll be out of here by 5:30."
After meeting with the mgr, ahem we packed up our stuff and they moved us to Neui (spelling). Pretty close to capn hooks and the quiet pool.

Mgr said they are remodeling the rooms. New bathrooms, new carpets, etc. we are in one of the new rooms.

Checking in tomorrow, appreciate the heads up on the noise. Niue is where we stayed last year and it is the building we requested this year.
