Another CL question!

Hi all,

I have another question about CL rooms in Hawaii. Are there any connecting rooms?? We are traveling with our 2 little ones and my parents and thought it might be super convenient to have rooms with a connecting door, but I wasn't sure if that is even available since I haven't seen anyone else mention it.

Thanks!

I'm glad the renovations won't be done by the time we arrive late next month. From what I've seen of the old rooms compared to what was posted of the new, I really think I like the old better. Although this is our 1st stay there, so I know its always much better in person than in pics. I'm just glad we get to experience the old rooms 1st.

I'm a little disappointed too! I agree that we need to see more, expanded pics, but these look like just any hotel room - where's the Polynesian theming??? The bathroom looks so plain white/black and really dull -I'm a little sad

Yes there are (or at least before the rehab there were)! We were in the same situation on our last trip and got connecting rooms. They are not guaranteed though so even if you request you may not get it. Make sure you request it on your reservation!

I just saw pictures of the Club Level and I think that all the new seats look great. And the brighter color on the wall there make it look even bigger! Tikiman has it on his FB page. Very cool I cant wait til September.

Oh bummer. I don't think I like the renovations. Too contemporary looking for me. Not a fan of the minty green. Hate the bathroom. It's not warm and inviting. It looks like a medical clinic from the 70's. There is no softness. It's *harsh*.
If I would have known how bad it would be, I would have booked BC before it sold out.

I agree -- I thought some of those photos made the rooms still look Poly-ish. I guess only time (and lots of photos, reviews, etc.) will tell.

Agreed! I love the new decor. It's much brighter yet still retains that tropical feel I love.

Just saw the expanded pictures on Tikiman's facebook page. I think the room is very pretty.... looks very tranquil and soft. I like it but I am not in love with it. Just looks as if it is missing something. There isn't enough island feel to the room IMO. It needs some pops of orange maybe..... I liked the old room decor better BUT.....I am still crossing my fingers for a return trip to the Poly in Summer on 2014

The CR is what I thought of when I saw the bathroom pics.....the new decor is too contemporary and not even close to being tropical .

I feel the same way. The rooms are pretty, but the tropical look/feel is missing, IMO. We are going back to the Poly in December and I'm hoping to like it more in person, but it still won't change my mind that they should have kept a more tropical decor.

Hey everyone! Anyone have any updates on the Nanea Volcano Pool Refurbishment? I heard that it's not happening or has been delayed. Is that true?

Just looked at Tikiman's FB pics of the new rooms. The bed area is actually very nice , could use some more "Tropical" decor, I agree. Even some other pics???Whatever, just something that says "I'm definitely somewhere TROPICAL" ! As far as the bathrooms...the new shower tiles look so, ummm...ugly?! Wouldn't be bad for a casino hotel with a walk-in shower or something that can have a contemporary look, but not for a tropical=themed Disney resort. At least throw some bright floral shower curtains on them or something. The sinks...ugh! Not Polynesian IMO.
But as others have said, maybe alot better in person.

Ehhh this is the best they could do? Don't hate it but....very bland, I agree, the bathroom looks like a medical clinic. The bamboo doors on the closet were nice. I still love the poly but I am dissapointed in this lackluster makeover.hope it is better in person.
