Character Meet and Greets

My kids love meeting the characters at the parks! Just wondering how long the line ups are to meet and greet the different characters on board the ship? We're going on the Dream next March during Spring Break.

I have seen Mickey, Minnie, and Goofy get to long at time but nothing like the parks. I have gone to meet and greets and we were the only one there the whole time. It does depends on the day and time. Plan to get there ten to fifteen minutes early for the popular ones and you have no problem. Also, most of the times there an early meet and greet like 7 pm and then the same one will come out like 9pm.

Just got off the Fantasy last week, and the line ups were very long.

Characters are only on a 15 mins rotation, and so they cut lines off very quickly, and actually start loading up a new line for the next character.

There were a few exceptions where Minnie and Mickey stayed out to finish the line, but pretty much the entire week, we were struggling to see certain characters due to insanely long lines such as Princess Court (all princesses lined up - these lines were hours long as it's an actual event), Phineas and Ferb and Captain Jack.

The good thing is that characters come out several times during the week, and they also send out secret characters that are listed nowhere in the Navigator.

Basically I would suggest you get to a line for a major character at least 15 mins before, so that you hopefully make it into that rotation.

Best of luck, Tiger

We were on the Fantasy this summer during peak time and did not have any issues with lines at all. The longest wait was maybe 30-45 min for princess gathering, but most others were 15 minutes or less. Look through your Navigator. There is a box with a list that has more options than shown in the TV guide looking schedule.

we never bothered getting in any lines- we ran into almost everyone in the hall at some point or another with no crowd. My kids also had no interest in the short lines that we did see.

There were some insanely long character lines on our cruise on the Magic this summer. I was actually a bit surprised, bc they seemed much longer than on our previous cruises. *Everyone* had a long line, and we ended up only standing in line in the terminal (to get Uncle Sam Mickey and Statue of Liberty Minnie) and on pirate night (to get Captain Jack). The princesses had too long of a line as did pretty much everyone else. Quite a few characters *did* come visit the kids in the clubs.

Hoping our next cruise will be considerably better, as it's more off season (Nov)
