Annie Marie from Palo

I know that there are many DISers who know Annie Marie from Palo, on either the Magic or the Dream , and I wanted to give you all an update.

We were on the 8/19 Dream 5 night and were very surprised when we walked into the Concierge lounge and saw our old friend Annie Marie there. She is now part of the Concierge team on the Dream and is no longer in Palo. We were thrilled to see her there, but sad that we couldn’t request her as our Palo server (Kristian from Croatia was excellent though).

We spent quite a bit of time talking with her during the cruise and she seems to genuinely enjoy working in Concierge. She explained to us that, since her husband is in dining room management on the ship, she couldn’t progress to any higher position in that department, so she decided to move to Concierge, where she can move up to a higher level. She appeared to love interacting with the kids, which she obviously didn’t have the chance to do in Palo. We really enjoyed getting to talk with her more and getting to know her better, and we couldn’t be happier for her. Spending more time with her just made a great cruise even better!

I have had her 4 times in Palo. Last time ws a year ago (September) on the Dream. She told us it was her last rotation. I am glad she is back. She is the type of Cast member that makes Disney Ships so great!

She is my number one favorite Cast Member!!

Soooo interesting to hear this! We were just on the 8/5 NYC-Canada cruise and someone told us Annie and Zan had moved to the Fantasy.

We'll be on the Dream in January and will be sure to look for her....even if we have to sneak onto the Concierge level in order to do so!

We were on the Fantasy in July and inquired about her and were told that she is still on the Dream. PJ from the Magic is now on the Fantasy.

I was on the same cruise as you and in Concierge. This was our first Disney cruise and I really liked her a lot. I agree that she really seems to enjoy her position. On that Thursday I asked her if they had all of the daily Navigators so I can put them in a Scrapbook (husband was throwing them out) and she got them for me. We also had Kristian from Croatia for Palo and he was great!

We probably crossed paths in the lounge (or maybe even in Palo) a few times. We had dinner in Palo on Monday at 6:00 and brunch at 10:30 on Wednesday.

I'm glad you enjoyed your first DCL cruise, and I hope you are able to take many more. Out of 12 DCL cruises, we've stayed Concierge on all but 2, and Annie helped make this one of the best. She is definitely one of our favorite CMs.

W'ere just back from the 5-night August 24 cruise and Anne Marie was the best!! I was so glad she was in concierge - she was great at resolving issues and helping me with my dietary needs - allergies plus vegetarian. She went out of her way to make sure our cruise was very special. I'm sorry that the Palo diners won't get to meet her but if you are sailing concierge, you will be in for a treat!

So I'm guessing this means Zan is also still on the Dream? Any confirmation? Thanks.

Yes he is. I saw him on the ship and jogging at Castaway Cay during his off duty time.

A friend of ours from Guest Services moved to Concierge too...
it's starting to sound like it must be a lucrative position (monetarily) as well!!

Good for them!!

I'm sure it must be more money. They receive a higher salary and they are allowed to accept tips as well. We tipped all three members of the Concierge staff last week.

I agree...Annie Marie is fantastic, as is Rodrigo....both now in the Dream concierge, as well as working the cabanas on Castaway Cay.

Thanks. Haven't talked to him since Christmas, and he was unsure where they'd end up.

I agree that Rodrigo is also fantastic. One afternoon I was the only guest in the lounge and it was hilarious when he and Annie Marie were joking around with each other.
