What can a person do with 22 points that expire 9/30??

I could always go to HHI for a couple of nights but I would have to borrow a few points.
I started a new job and just forgot to bank these. So now I want to do something with them. I am pretty much a DVC newbie. Next time I'll remember to bank them!
Can you use them at a non-Disney hotel anywhere? I don't want to try to rent them. Could I transfer them to another member?

You can do all of the above, but 22 points aren't really enough for a reservation. I would probably try to transfer them to someone who needs points soon.

How do you transfer points? Is there a DisBoard for finding people who need points? This is so foreign to me.

Go to the rent trade board on the DIS. Here is the link, but be sure to read all the sticky posts at the top so you know how to do your post.http://www.disboards.com/forumdispla...aysprune=&f=29

Transfer or renting out the points, both involve finding someone who needs the points for a reservation. Unless you are giving the points away free, you still need to collect payment.

Transferring points to a member otherwise, is a much easier and simplier task.

Twice before we bought I rented points for one night...found the rentals on this board...but that was before the charge if you don't have enough posts. I even offered to pay for the two extra points I didn't need...and the owner declined and said they were happy to rent the 18 and would eat the last two points

Doesn't DVC allow a one-time "mulligan" such that they will bank your points if you missed the deadline? Since Antonia is a newbie she might be able to swing that.

She could always call MS and find out.

I'd call MS and tell them you are a newbie and just forgot to bank your points and is there any chance they could help you because now your points will expire.

As stated by others, sometimes (not always) MS will grant a one time late banking of points.

Seems like Disney should allow people to donate points like that to "Make A Wish" or something like that.

But I do seem to remember that MS had given a one time "oops" and allowed people to bank after the deadline. Never hurts to try.

I am looking for 22 points. Can you do a transfer? What is your use year? I need the points for a December 2012 travel date.

If they expire on September 30th, I don't think they can be used after this weekend.

I wonder just how many points expire each year.
