PICS of "SIDEWAYS" INSIDE CABIN #5505 ON MAGIC

A few people have asked what the "sideways inside" cabins on the Magic look like. Here are pics I took on our recent 2 night Magic NYC cruise on August 10th.

These are Category 11B and the sideways inside cabins can be found on Decks 5 and 6 forward. They would be the same on the Wonder.

You can see the Deck Plan layout at this site:

http://www.cruisedeckplans.com/DP/Me...hp?ship=Disney Magic

When you walk into the cabin the sofa is directly in front of you. In this layout the bathroom and closet would be on the right and the bed and desk would be on the left. In our friends cabin 5501 it was just the opposite.

The beds split into 2 at our request after we boarded. The default bed configuration is queen.

Just one bathroom in this category. Showe/tub is behind the door.

Hope this helps someone!!!

I love the sideways rooms! For the record, 5513 and 6521 are exactly the same as this one. I have 6521 reserved for the Panama Canal cruise in December and I can't wait!

Thanks for sharing the pics! When my girls cruised with us and I would have the bed split into two, I always had the bed against the wall, and the two nightstands together inbetween the beds. They needed as much space between them as possible, lol.

We were also in a sideways cabin on the August 10th sailing. We had cabin #6507 and the layout was the same as the above pictures. We loved, loved, loved the sideways cabin. I'd book this cabin, or any sideways cabin, in a heartbeat!

It is on the Wonder and Magic. We had this one for 5n B2B cruises on the Wonder a few years ago and it was nice. We also did 14 nights on the EBTA in 6011 on the Magic - we really love the layout of the sideways rooms and how much better the space is used in the room!

We will be on the PC cruise with you as well. We have booked an IGT....couldn't pass up the price. Would love, love, love to get a sideways room. We had one a couple of years ago on B2B cruises which we loved.

Also, we will be celebrating our 13th Anniversary on the 10th...a day after you.

See you then. Can't wait!!!

Our actual anniversary is Dec. 30. We will be celebrating these 40 years for the entire trip, but are having dinner at Palo one night, although I can't remember which night I booked LOL!!!

I can't help you with the complete list, but I can tell you that you can have the beds together. DH and I were in 6521 last November and it was great! While the room is the same size as the other 11's, the layout makes it seem VERY spacious. I also like the fact that the bathroom is out of the way. It makes it easier to get ready in the morning. When DH is standing in front of the closet waiting for his clothes to jump out of the closet he's not in the way of my leaving the room to get a cup of tea from the drink station!

Of course. The standard set up is one queen bed.....we were two friends so we asked the room host to split them after we boarded.

Thank you for posting the photos. I know the split bathrooms are very popular, but I still prefer one larger bathroom to two tiny ones.

I was actually surprised that the bathroom was not bigger. I kept reading that the one bathroom was bigger than the 2 split ones but I did not think there was much difference.

We just LOVED our 3 sideways cabins last year! We were in 6003, 6007 and 6011. Wish I had known that the beds split.. My son and daughter slept on the couch and the bed. Oh well..
We're actually in 5509 this next time, and they tell me it'll sleep four? And that it's still a sideways room.

And can I ask, is there much noise on that floor since it's above the theatre?

Heard no noise at all...but I did not get back to the cabin until after midnight each night.
