Just finished reading your wonderful reviews! After finally eating at Cape May last December it is also my favorite buffet . We will also be dining at Kona for the first time in December (keep your fingers crossed 'cause we always seem to cancel there) and I will definately have to try the Tuna Oscar! It looks so yummy!
Have a great trip to DL, I will be looking forward to reading your reviews when you get back!

Thanks, Dawn! I hope you will keep your Kona reservation. I loved it there so much and hope we can eat breakfast there on our next trip, whenever that might be. Are you guys eating at Cape May in December, too?

Thanks! Glad you enjoyed reading along. Only a couple things on the last day weren't that great, but that cupcake made up for it! Can't wait to get back and try a different cupcake from Starring Rolls!

We finally made it to DP's actual birthday day. As a special birthday gift to her, I'd given her something priceless: I actually let her sleep in today!!!

That's right, no RD, no early breakfast plans, we just woke up late, took our time drinking coffee in our refillable mug and headed out for breakfast at the restaurant of her choice, Kouzzina. We didn't even shower-just went as we were. What are birthdays for, after all?

We were both really looking forward to this meal, actually. We didn't need a reservation and just walked right in shortly before the change from breakfast to lunch.

We started off with this:

Sure beat the stuff we'd been drinking from our resort refillable mug!

DP had this, the spinach, tomato and feta scrambled eggs with breakfast potatoes and small fruit salad in place of the choice of meat.

She enjoyed this and didn't complain. The croissant was a nice accompaniment.

I went for the breakfast skillet served with eggs, pequillo peppers, bacon (minus the bacon for me), onion and greek cheese on a sweet potato hash topped with arugula.

There was nothing wrong with this. It was a tasty start to the day. The arugula was nicely flavored with strong olive oil, as was most of the dish. It was overall light on the seasonings otherwise. I wasn't crazy about the sweet potatoes.

My overall problem with Kouzzina was the amount of oil in or on everything we ate. It tasted ok, but it left an oily feeling in your mouth. We were full for most of the rest of the day and just felt generally icky for several hours, and I really think it was from all of the oil. A person can only eat so much pure oil and feel alright.

I really don't think I need to go back here again. DP still reads the Kouzzina menu online and to this day, thinks it sounds good and wants to try it again. But I think she has forgotten how bad she felt after eating there and how much she complained.
I've never had the breakfast there but the dinner is amazing! Now I'm having second thoughts about going there for breakfast.

Im sorry and don't want to deter you! It was all tasty just very oily...I'm sure it was very nice olive oil, and maybe that was just too rich for us. Would love to hear if you go how it is for you.

WOW...your reviews and photos were fantastic..

I love food porn and yours did the trick..

We went to the Clambake and thought (being from Maine) that the clams would be like our clams but they were these little bitty things...clams really are fantastic all alone and they do have flavor...

I am ready for my may trip now...thanks again

Thanks so much! I am glad you enjoyed the reviews. We too are going back in May. I thought we were going to have to wait until Dec for our next trip, but I did some figuring and just managed to convince DP that we can do it! So we are. Can you tell I'm excited? Anyway, there will be lots more food pics coming up this summer.

Hope you have a great trip!

Great reviews! I think I'll try some of those chocolate covered grapes the next time I go to Epcot!

They are the best! I hope they are still serving them at Caramel Kuche. If so, I'll try to get another picture.

Thanks so much for your reviews and pics! We too are pescetarians, so it was wonderful to see just what we are looking for! We loved Cape May last time and are planning to return this year. We also added 1900 Park Fare (sp?) as I've heard the vegetarian options there are pretty good as well.

I think you're referring to dinner at 1900 Park Fare, but I've seen a yummy looking lobster benedict on their breakfast buffet, pictured in Emmebear's current dining review. Yum! Looks so good, and it makes me wish we had plans to eat there on our coming trip.

Yes, we will be going back to Cape May in a couple of weeks. Can hardly wait!

That menu picture is from April 2012, so I hope you still find what you're looking for. Also, it was a lunch picture. I think the dinner menu is slightly different...

The shrimp tacos at La Hacienda were sooo good. I'm craving those again, even though we won't make it back to that restaurant until future trips yet to be planned. I'm sure you'll have lots of yummy things to choose from at San Angel Inn. I typically don't want my opinion to deter anyone from ordering something in particular, but in this case, all I can say is that those fish tacos were just wrong. So I think it's a great idea for you to select something else.

This was such a great review! Thank you for this! I used to be a vegetarian for a long time and my Dsis who comes with me to WDW is a vegetarian still. I only eat poultry and fish, so this review was very helpful! It is great to see that you were able to come up with a variety of dining options for your dietary restrictions. I was really interested in your meal at La Hacienda! Did you get to look at the vegetarian menu before you got to the parks? Or just upon arrival? Can I ask what else was on that menu?

Thanks for the review on the veggie wrap; it is frustrating when vegetarian options are so disappointing and the flavors and textures are so off; I never understood the appeal of that sort of pickled flavor either. I always dream of a hearty, well-cooked veggie filling with some kind of zesty sauce in a sandwich or wrap...am yet to find something like that in the parks (except for the veggie burgers).
