Dining package ?
can a person get the dining plan if they rent points from a dvc member?

Yes, but the member you rent is the only one that can add it to the reservation. It must be added at least 2 days prior to arrival and must be paid for in full when added.

Just to clarify, in case you were talking about the "Free Dining" promotions, NO. DVC reservations are not eligible, but as the previous poster said, a paid dining plan can be added by the DVC Member you rent from. It follows all the regular rules of the cash guest plan, and must be paid for at the time it is added to reservation. It does not, however, t require the purchase of park tickets directly from Disney, as the DVC Dining options are not a "package" like the cash options. You may buy your park tickets from Disney, if you wish, or from an authorized discounter.
