The dates for 2013 are September 27- November 11. However, it's not a hard ticket event. All you need to attend is your regular park ticket. We love it, simply to try all the food items.

The only thing that will cost extra are any of the specific classes or seminars that they have during that time period. LIke special food tastings, seminars on cooking with specific chefs, things like that. But to just walk around and enjoy the food and wine, you will just need your park ticket and of course, money to buy whatever food and beverages you want (unless you use your snack credit on the meal plan). We usually just use a gift card wrist band. Easy to swipe and pay for food and no need to keep taking out your wallet to pay.

The special events will usually be announced in July/August timeframe.

Thanks for the gift card idea!!! Sounds like a plan.

I should have asked this before too. We will also be hitting MNSSHP. Now I do know this is an extra ticket (I have been to MVMCP). Have they said dates for this yet?? Or when will they?

I have a hint for those going to the Food and Wine fest. that most of you all ready know... I walked in the door in the am the day I visited, and went straight over to the left to guest services. We were with a park employee on his day off, so he got us to the front of the line ( the guy knows everyone who works at Dis. it's very cool and creepy at the same time!) They have these little cards on springy wristbands you can wear. We got our "food passports" lots of cool literature, maps, etc. and stuff for the scrap book. We loaded up our wristband cards with about 120 dollars each, and then just spent the day swiping them and trying everything in our path... delish! What ever money was left over at the end of our wonderful day we used to get souvenirs. The wrist band swiper thing is so incredibly convienient... we often got to move to the front of the line when paying, ahead of people paying cash.

ok just read back and saw that the post before me mentioned the wrist bands... still a good enough hint to mention twice lol

We are using the regular dining plan. For us 3 adults and a child it works great! We have ARDs for 2 character meals and the fantasmic dinner package so for us it make sense. We like the convenience of the dining plan.

From what I have heard (we are planning on going this year again also), the annoucement of dates will be made on May 1. I believe that is also when the tickets go on sale.

We are getting our tickets for Halloween. It is crowded, but the kids love it and it is a lot of fun especially for the parades, candy, and of course, Hallowishes. I also love the decorations that time of year. Can't wait!

To the tune of 76 Trombones...

Seventy-six more sleeps 'til we hit the road.
With my wife and two kids, we'll be on our way.
With exactly a thousand miles 'til we are all smiles,
At the Lodge, where we will spend our stay.

Seventy-six more sleeps 'til we're out of here.
Can't wait to enjoy some precious family time.
We'll visit the parks all day, ('til our feet give way!),
And we know, its worth every single dime!

OOP. We don't like to have plans or make dining reservations! Play it by ear, see what happens. Plus we are eating breakfast in our villa (DVC).
