Is Aulani getaway still possible at the 5 month window???
We are finally DVC members and still waiting for my mailing from DVD. I can't wait.. so impatient, i even tried to call MA but they wont give out my member ID so i can start perusing through availabilities.. They said that the Managers have told them NOT to give them out.. no problem!
Do any of you folks ever tried to get Aulani within a 5-month window?? ( my trip in mind is 1st week of April...) If not, my earliest try would be in the summer and i'm sure that will be hard as well..

Are you a resale or direct buyer?
I associate DVD as a direct buy for some reason but in reality they handle all sales.  Bill

Im a resale buyer via TSS... So member admin said that they finished transferring my points to the system and will be mailing out the packet soon. i should wait about 2 weeks or so?? Im waiting for my member info.. thats all.
It does take about 2 months to get through all resale / closing and mailing.. so i'm curious to see if I can make it to Aulani by April.. |

We just visited Aulani the first week of November (11/3 - 11/9), and had made our reservations right at the end of June. Basically, it was 4 months out. We wanted a dedicated 2 bedroom unit, and the only view *not* available 4 months out was the Standard View. Having said that, the first week of November is probably "off season"...if you are trying for Spring Break, I'm sure it will be more difficult.

I sent you a PM but make sure you try both member administration and member accounting. I think accounting gave me my info no problem but I can't ever remember which way is which.

I have had very few problems booking Aulani even as little as one week out. Though I am also very flexible in the view and room type I want. Booked Christmas Eve on thanksgiving.

If by first week of April you mean Easter week (March 31 is Easter) then be aware that currently nothing is available at Aulani. As to what can happen at Aulani during the summer if trying to reserve 7 months or less out (which it already is for all of June), see this thread: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=3023272
