I know that MANY are still without power and have been adversely affected by Sandy. Our thoughts are with all of you. We were very lucky not to lose power or have any damage in our neighborhood here in Northern VA. Stay safe and warm Lodgers and think happy WDW thoughts

I had a dream last night about the WL. We (my mother, son and I ) were sitting at one of the little round tables up on CL , looking out at the swimming pool and listening to the boat horns going off.

Just a simple dream, but it brought such joy!

That sounds lovely!

I, on the other hand, had a dream the other night about arriving in Disney and realizing I had forgotten our AP's at home!!!

Talk about waking up in a cold sweat!

We drive and I am so neurotic I am surprised they have not killed me yet. We are still in the driveway and I am asking them to check the money, the APs, ect.

We are an hour down the road and i am asking them to check.

After every rest stop I am asking them to check.

I know, I am horrible, but I can't help myself.

But that is not a problem. You just go to Guest Relations, tell them you have an AP or PAP, give them a photo ID and they print you out another. The old one is deactivated.

We have a woods view room reservation. I've requested an upper floor in the North wing. Is that our best hope to see fireworks from our room?

You've eased the minds of so many. I bet they all had sweet dreams tonight. I've worried about that, too, especially losing our Tables in Wonderland which has a $50 replacement fee.

No apologies needed here. Your request is correct, and if you would like to not have a solid balcony railing, you could also request a 5th floor room which is the highest with a see-through railing.

Kook - we are lucky enough to have power at the old house and the new house. Our only problem so far is where my son goes to school has no power in most of the county so he has been home from school all week. He is a great kid, but so hands on that we are moving at a slower pace.

Finally got power back...but now I have no Internet, TV or phone. The storm knocked out our Fios and I maybe the surge killed the main control unit or just being out for so long. Who knows, but they are coming this afternoon to fix it...just in time for us to leave!! I only have access to the internet at work right now.
Checked in for our flight this morning and it is still showing an on time departure tomorrow at Reagan Airport. I checked on the same flight that took off this morning and it left 10 mins early...hope the same thing happens tomorrow!!
I also transferred my Disney reward dollars to my current reward gift card - $500!! Wohoo!!! Going to apply to our hotel, that's one night free for our CL room. I have also been saving $5 bills and I counted them over the weekend - $165, took them to Target and traded in for Disney gift cards!
I'll check in after we get there. I'm bringing my iPad so will have access to Disboards through the app!

Sorry to hear you've been without FIOS. We have it, too and were very lucky it didn't go out. But, I have had a couple of set-top boxes fail in the past with power outages and have had to order replacements which they FedEx'd. Once though, ours just needed to be reset by unplugging it and plugging it back in.

A friend reported flying in to DCA yesterday and she said their flight was actually early, so hopefully, you'll have no issues. Looking forward to hearing from you after you check-in

Just booked my October 2013 trip!!! WL - so excited !!

Now I have all of my 2013 trips booked!!

Jan - boardwalk villas
May - Bay Lake tower
August - Grand Floridian and
October - Wilderness lodge!!!

We are coming from Wales Dec 6th and staying at Wilderness Lodge Dec 13 - 20th. Are we excited? OH YES!!! We have never stayed here before and are thoroughly looking forward to it. We have a woods view but were wondering the best floor or room to try and request. Our son John will be 12 and he loves Disney as much as his mam, Donna and myself. Any tips or advice gratefully received. Our thoughts have been with those affected by Sandy.
