Ha! Usually the only reason anyone wants me to sit with them is if there is alcohol involved. They all know I never finish my drinks and then they get a freebie.

I'm going to use my family's recipe for the filling. Ricotta cheese, cream, pistachios, maraschino cherries, sugar, almond extract and mini chocolate chips. Also calls for citron peel, but I am not into that stuff. Maybe I will do some orange zest. I will report back on my success or failure at some point. LOL!

Happy New Year friends!!!
I'm sure they'll turn out great. I love cannoli. Growing up the kid of a baker has it's perks and fresh cannoli was one of them.

I hope you all are doing well. Today marks the 14th day since I got sick. The way I figure it is I'll be all better by the time Wed rolls around, since it's the day I go back to work.

Happy New Year!

OOoh, your Dad was a baker? Yumyum! I have made the dough so far. Just about ready to fry them. They had to refrigerate a bit.

YOu have been sick for 14 days. That is just waaaaay too long. I presume, you have been to the doctor? Get well soon!

BTW- do not forget to order a shirt if you want one. Thanks!

Beth, I heard back from RoseAnn. She is definitely coming. She is at DL today. Youza!!! This is one busy day to be there, but how fun!

It was fun to have snacks to bring into the parks. Good to have things to eat while on the hunt too.

Steph - I hope you feel better. I'm just now getting over my sinus infection that I got in NOVEMBER, which is no fun. It stinks that you're sick on your days off and feeling better just in time for work..... yay???

BTW - I still have never tried a cannoli

Farley sings, plays fiddle and tells really corny jokes! He noticed our purple DIVA shirts and asked if we knew what the grape said before he died. We said no, and he said, "Didn't say anything, just gave a little wiiiiiiiine."

We had a great time with him last year, which was only about 5 minutes or so, and would be fun if we could arrange something.

Oh, and Happy New Year, everyone!

Sorry you've been sick so long! How frustrating. Noelle has had a cough for about 3 weeks now. We've taken her in twice to the quick care but she's still coughing.

Thanks for letting me know. I wish I was some where busy and bustling! I've been home all day and feel kind of icky. Not in much of a party mood! In fact, I could fall asleep right now.

Me, either. And I've never had poutine. Nor will I.

It's terrible to be sick, especially up here with our freezing weather. Hope you'll be better soon !

Nadia's makes really good cannoli. That's the only place I've had it so I can't compare it to any others.
Now I'm in the mood for one.

Ok, I'm lame and didn't realize the deadline for meal sign ups was here already. Is there any way to add me to the BBQ and Carthay meals?

I've never had a cannoli or poutine, either.
And I'm a pretty adventurous eater!

I am drinking wine and watching the Dick Clark special on TV.

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!

Stay away from the poutine.

We've been home pigging out on pizza, and watching Miss Congeniality. Now we are watching all the celebrations from places that have already past midnight, and getting ready to play Apples to Apples. I think just before midnight we are going to a nearby park that has a view of the Strip to see the fireworks. Then, it's straight home and to bed!

Yes, this is Melody. Actually posting after midnight. Lol!
Went out for a very nice dinner with my DH and dear friends. Just got home before midnight. Dear husband has an early morning run, so he s already asleep. Snoring to beat the band wagon, is more like it.
So I am on the couch, trying to wind down. No fair... How come he can fall asleep in two seconds, and I,m still awake.
Anybody else have that problem?

So the place I went out to dinner is one of the nicest place in town. Who do I see? The guy who does our tee shirts. Ha ha! He introduced me to his new wife. ( BTW- he reminds me of Alex O'loughlin from Hawaii 5 0.)
Anyways, i'm pretty sure he's telling his wife....she's that crazy Disney lady.
