After looking it up, it sounds like a Disney on ice show.

Just called my TA, hoping to bump our cruise from our Oct. 2013 one on the Dream to T'giving week 2014 on the Fantasy! Back when I booked for 2013 I wasn't realizing it would be my oldest's 1st year in HS...don't want to pull him out for an entire week.

Maybe year round sailing out of NY...

but that wouldnt make sense as why tout the ICE aspect and why send to DVC only...

DVC Members are often given invites to special events (as are others such as D23 members, AP holders, etc.) such as a preview of the new Fantasyland which they have been doing recently.

Possible, but the ice rink is in Rockefeller Center.. not at the Pedestrian Plaza 45th & 46th Sts.

See ya' real soon!

Disney Vacation Club
I'd also say it must be for Tinker Bell and the Secret of the Wings. The new movie comes out on October 23 and involves winter fairies. At Disneyland they are putting in a Tinker Bell ice skating rink at Downtown Disney.

It has to be one of 3 things since it was sent to DVC members.

1. Member cruise sailing out of NY
2. New DVC in NYC
3. Grand Floridian announcement (figure only DVC member in NYC are gonna
be able to afford that one)

Dang it -- TA things all the references to cold and ice (including the word nICE) are referring to an ice show!

Hmmm. Maybe DCL is going back to Alaska? For a DVC cruise?
You can't find much more ice than a glacier.

Unfortunately, I think the NY event has nothing to do at all with cruising. I think it will be a special opportunity to ice skate and meet a couple of fairies, to promote the new Tinkerbell movie. I hope I'm wrong, but I guess only time will tell.
