So I've had 3 clients complain about the walk from the Little Mermaid section to the main building at AoA. What did you guys think of it in October?

But until we get that done, I can't do ANYTHING ELSE!" We ended up at the Botanical Gardens in Athens and we both fell in love with it. They have several places for weddings there but the Cecil B. Day Chapel was what we loved most. And the best part was it was like $1200 for the entire rental, receptional hall, chairs, chapel and all. That was cheaper than most of the places we had looked. It was perfect. But that was in 2002. I'm sure the price has gone up since then. Not that that helps them at all, but just in case they want to travel to Georgia to get married.....

Well there may be a zillion pictures of the land out there but as I've still never been on the darn attraction, I still really enjoy seeing them!

That fruit waffle looks really good. I was bummed, I'd hoped to try a waffle sandwich in October but they only serve them at lunch. Looks yummy!

Bella is quite the responsible driver.

And in case I forgot to say, congrats to Trent and Brandi! Very exciting and a lovely "welcome" gift on your part.

Either one would be wonderful. Bay Lake would be cool just for being able to walk to Magic Kingdom, and it would be cool to have an awesome view, if you got lucky. I'd take Wilderness Lodge any day, of course. I like the cozy atmosphere there.

You know we don't have any complaints about the walks from rooms too food courts. Maybe having to walk through the land of Scar and the hyenas made the walk to the main building seem longer and more ominous. I was too busy taking pictures to think about the walk. It was the same as walking over to the 50's at Pop, in my opinion.

I think Brandi was looking at another place today after school. Her parents were thinking Portland was too far, so I'm pretty sure we can cut anything in GA off the list. Although...I did hear a faint rumor of 'just go to the beach', which I would be ALL FOR.

This past year has been full of losses and sadness at illnesses, it seems. I just saw on FB, too, that our DIS friend Tracy is not doing well. I am so glad she got that last Disney trip.

Prayers are much appreciated for my sweet sister in law and the babies (a and ). She spent a few days at the hospital with contractions and such, but did get to go back home for bedrest. Each day is so important, and she still has weeks to go before delivery would not be risky. Thanks DISTOWN!

Yes, she is losing someone very special to her. That hits a person hard for a long time - and then forever in many ways. I am very glad they got to take that last trip.

Not really. If we had let them stay and play, they would have been happy with that, but they didn't balk at leaving when our buzzer went off.

That's what we are here for - support and encouragement, helping people through tough times and celebrating the good. We all hope everything goes wonderfully well for your sister-in-law and those sweet babies.

For anyone who is keeping up with all of the people I have known this year with problems and losses, because this has certainly been the year of that...

I attended the memorial visitation for my friend, Bill Carlisle, yesterday. I only say his full name because I had told you when it happened that he was a Grand Old Opry musician, as his dad (known as Jumpin' Bill Carlisle) before him, so you may have heard of him if you have ever been into the old time country music. He was the guy who had been paralyzed in a motorcycle accident a couple of years ago. He passed away last weekend. I did not know the full story until recently, and I thought it was interesting, so I will share it with you. Bill was helping to support a mission for fresh water for an African village through his home congregation. He had donated that motorcycle to be sold at a fundraiser. It brought in $500 for the mission. He was delivering it to the new owner when he wrecked and was paralyzed. That is definitely a sad turn of events, but I have to think how wonderful it would be for your last act in this world to be something so giving, serving, and self-sacrificing.
