I really need to start making dinner... but I can't tear myself away! Especially if there's talk of MNSSHP!

(PP was only beads and gold coins ) can't beat real candy

(Thanks re: the name, Marie. ) I'm far from an expert since last year was our first, but we loved it so much we decided we'd go back this year essentially just so we can go to another MNSSHP. (We'd not planned on returning this year at all.)

We went during September last year. It was during either the second or third week of parties. I bought the tickets a few days before from concierge (BC-CL) since we had the option of going on a Tuesday or a Friday. We opted for the Friday, though I hear they're always busier on Fridays and Weekends.

We rested the whole day before the party, with only a swim in the morning. I required a mandatory nap from my then-4 year old -- which had the side-benefit of allowing mommy and daddy to nap too. This was pretty crucial to us having such a nice time at the party, I think.

Headed over to the party for the "early entry" at 4pm and just went "with the flow" -- over in Tomorrowland, we danced with Stitch, got some candy here and there, rode BTMRR, danced with Woody and Bullseye, watched the first "Boo to You" parade (flippin' BRILLIANT!), got some eats, went on It's a Small World, watched the amazing fireworks, went back and danced with Bulleye and Woody again, more candy -- and capped off a terrific, whine-free evening with a Midnight ride on The Haunted Mansion. The crowds got thinner as the evening wore on. It was packed, but not obnoxiously so... and less than a normal day at MK, I'd say. The whole evening was just absolutely fun and fantastic. Very memorable.

The parade is not to be missed. The fireworks were wonderful. The atmosphere is so different and fun. The characters are all so into it. It's so funny, but talking about how much of a blast it was and how much of a good time we had was exactly what convinced the hubs and I to go back this year... all for this party.

If we changed anything from how we did it last year, we'd have had a bigger meal before heading to MK. Also, if we get to go again this year (all appendages crossed) we'll also make sure we hit the Villians dance party at the castle. I missed out on seeing Captain Hook.

Not sure if any of this helps, but I love yappin' about it.

Need to talk to our RC Queen aka Pas before I update the list on page one. Since I didn't type in the post, I can't edit it So, the new list in going to be on page 5 below until Jeanette and I figure this out.

Dani, hope everyone is feeling better...and hope your boss is beginning to feel a little punky By the way, I had no idea who Backson was, googled him, he has been added to the Winnie the Pooh cartoons since my kids were little!

missoutandabout, good job on the shirt with your daughter. I raised two girls (and survived) and I can only say it is going to get worse before it gets better! My advice is to go with your gut, but never let them embarrass themselves

pixarmom, you will love the MNSSHP! We have been 4 times, and it is so much fun! The parade is NOT to be missed, it is great! I love missoutandabout's advice, eat a meal before you go. The kids are going to eat the candy (and some adults too ), you stand a better chance of getting something healthy in them before you go!!!

Geez I made one comment on the Poly thread that Tikiman isn't always correct and now I'm being accused of being harsh and picking on him. Sometimes I wonde why I even post anywhere but here.

Vicki_c got mad at me because I used an exclamation mark. I was like, "That's not true!" and explained my experience and she said that I shouldn't get all up in arms about what someone had said. It's not like I used a hundred exclamation marks. I used one. Apparently that means I was being mean and freaking out. I hate it when people make those kinds of assumptions. It's just a punctuation.

I definitely prefer to just post here. I hardly post anywhere else.

People on these boards really are ridiculous sometimes. I was just pointing out that his info isn't correct 100% of the time. What news source is? I guess I'm not allowed to point things out, and you can't use exclamation marks.

They are ridiculous sometimes. It is very frustrating. At least here I know I am not being judged. If we do such things anywhere else we will probably get banned.

New thread....YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(New Thread Breakdancin')

I started preparing for next school year.... (BOOOOOOOO)

I am determined not to be as stressed as I was last year. When I finish the first Marking period planning, I am determined (with encouragement from my DH) to FINALLY write a TR starting with a PTR. I love to write but have been stressed the last few school years. Need prayers and pixie dust that I can get my planning done int he next two weeks.... I need August to be totally vacation. We will be returning the Saturday before I have to start school so I want all of the planning to be finished by then. I plan to go in the beginning of August to set up my classroom.

You all have to pinky-swear that you will follow my PTR and my TR. One of my biggest nightmares is writing a TR that no one reads...

That happened to me once. It is one of the reasons why I started this thread and always want it to be a nice, easy going, place where there is no intimidation or bullying, just genuine Disney spirit and honest answers. A place to share planning and day-to-day life experiences.

I'm sending you a RC hug Don't stop posting on other threads. You have great ideas and helpful hints that others will appreciate.

I asked her if she liked the shirt and she replied yes. I explained that if she liked the shirt, she shouldn't worry about what other people think and as long as she liked it and wanted to wear it, that's all that matters. Easier said than done, and all that, right? Oh boy. I didn't know how else to handle it, really. I want to make sure she's not afraid to "march to the beat of her own drum." This is at 5 years old, what am I in store for?!
good answer! Sometimes it's a fine line between wanting them to express themselves and truly not wanting them to be embarrassed. But it's always good for them to learn to be comfortable in their own skin (or in this case a chewy shirt!)

I think that was a great change. May I asked what prompted you to change to the nautical nonsense next door?

Love your acceptance speech.

I have to admit, the change was prompted by a better discount. We prefer the BC room decor, but love the lobbies and CMs on both sides. We split our stay and added 3 nights at GF, too.

Oh, Sarah!! OUCH!! I want to send a hug, but it might hurt. I am so very grateful the injuries were not worse...perhaps this would be a good time for a new passport photo? Think of the memories in years to come!! Hey, at least you've a nice fresh haircut! Very gentle hugs, dear friend.

...and the thing is, Steve knows he is not perfect, but does the best he can...which is excellent...so why the heck some people get all worked up about such nonsense, I will just never understand! . Did you know he was banned from the DIS for a while? Not knowing, I posted his name and link, but when it was all xxxx, I told the person how to find it...would you believe, I got some sort of DIS demerits or whatever it's called...it was private and temporary....years ago! Sheesh!!

Hey, my friends, sorry for all the posts I missed...tried to multi-quote, but it had to be one of those days when poof...there it went into who knows where.

Good to see everyone over here! Pas - LOVE the new title!

Tomorrow is TGIF and I cannot wait!!

p.s. Sarah, thank you for an updated Trip list!
