OHHH!!! I wish I could join you all in January!!! my birthday is Jan 29, I'd love another trip to the world to see my favourite peeps! sadly, I think it will take a bit of a break to get DH to consent to another trip, as coming from Edmonton, Alberta is a large financial commitment......perhaps a bit more affordable if I go on my own, but I'd for sure Want to match up dates to have some friends with me to share things with! Disney is always better with friends Maybe I can talk him into a single-for-me trip NEXT Jan 2014, or if not then, perhaps I can schedule my sons grad trip JAN 2015. Whatever the case, it may take a few yrs, but eventually I WILL get to Disney every other Yr or so, and I will need some DIS Gals to share the love with

I'm counting down the days for this trip! only 17 days to go.....very excited, and a tad sad too not knowing when my next time will be yet.....one things for sure though.......THERE WILL ALWAYS BE A NEXT TIME!!!!!

Jeanette, Janet and Dani .... I like Sarah's idea about flying down to help watch little ones but I think I should come too!!! After all the rule is one adult per child and with all those kiddos you're going to need a couple of extra nannies!!! Christine you paying attention here????
My flights are from 12/31 to Saturday 1/12, however if I don't have treatment on Monday I will change my flight to Sunday.

Grumpy Grandma, we could have a Nanny Service for RCers!!!!

And don't forget there's always DL! I usually can't afford to stay onsite there but I have been finding the Hilton at the Anaheim Convention Center for $75 to $85 a night. To me it is within walking distance but if not it's a quick walk to the Toy Story parking lot to catch a shuttle!

I know this would easily be won if I took it to HR but I'd hate to do that. For now I'm just planning and trying not to stress. I think we are going to do 8 nights AoA with DDP and 7 nights at Poly with no DDP (TA rate).

But, potentially, we would get no benefit out of that first night.

We are planning quite a bit of downtime while at both YC and POLY, so the CL would get some good use....*sigh* decisions, decisions...WWYD??
You KNOW you want to do it! But, maybe stay the first night at the MCO Hyatt or Swolphin

DEFINITELY!!! Linda, will keep that in mind too, I'll have to stay at Disneyland Hotel when I do DL....but i'm all for meeting up for some company and fun with my RCer friends actually, I'm considering maybe a DL trip for DS's/DSGF grad trip....it might be cheaper, and less of a commitment/ we could probably fit it in with a week and even see Universal and Knotts berry farm all in the same trip

Knotts is an easy drive from DL .... Universal is a bit more of a pain ... maybe there is some sort of shuttle from Anaheim to Universal .... at least it would be worth checking into. I'll also let you know what I think of the Diva trip which might be another option.

All this talk of WDW in January has me wondering... so I'll ask you experts!

How busy do you think it'll be that first weekend after New Year's?

Like this: ... or more like this: ? We have never been as a family outside of our September trips -- total newbie.

P.S. Jen & Sarah: I've got "Mosey on Down to the Lobby at 6:15" written down for the 20th. If you think you'll be there earlier, I'll wrangle the cattle into the elevator before then.

Question Park hopper dilema!!!

Hey guys I'm having remorse about my decision to NOT have park hoppers this trip. I ALWAYS have park hoppers, but it didn't seem to make much sense this time....I decided to save the $200 and wait to see if they will even be needed or not......here's what I wrote on the Park Hopper thread, maybe you can help me decide if I made the right decision on holding off.....

I'll be there Sept 28-Oct 3.....I'm having this dilemma myself: To Add or not to Add?? I've always had the PHer and loved it, but this is the first trip I have only bought Base tickets for.
my reasoning was: we arrive late afternoon on the 28th of Sept....Completely staying away from Epcot due to opening of F&W.....thought we might hit MK till it closes at 7 for the Halloween party.....We'll do the rides that aren't open at MNSSHP, like CoP......then we have dinner reservations at CALI GRILL for 7:45, don't think there would be much time for anything else after that, maybe chill at our resort (POLY) pool.

next Day: it's parasailing in the AM, then moving over to AK for the rest of the day. I think it's open until 6pm.....that leaves some evening left, but I am finding NO EMHs during our trip, except our last night.....so, We also have OHANA booked for dinner at 7, not much time left after eating....I don't think I'll feel up to hitting another park again!

Sun Sept 30 is our relax/CABANA rental day at POLY to rest up for MNSSHP....no hopper needed there, we will be busy till midnight!

mon Oct 01, decided to play it safe and leave Disney all together for our Discovery Cove day (EPCOTS bday is today and I worried about crowds)
No park tickets needed because after DC, we are going to hit up DTD for QS dinner and shopping after we drop off our swim suits/snorkels at our resort! (and hit the CL lounge for yummy Monday night Sushi nibble )

TUE OCT 2: Epcot day today. Dinner is at TEPPAN EDO, at 7....don't see EMHs on the park hours, so don't see a real need for a hopper once again.

Last Day Wed Oct 3.... DHS day, Lunch at Sci FI at 11:45, Dinner at KONA at 7pm.....here is the only place I see a PHer option. I have two boys (20/16) who might want to hit up MK EMH's that last night.....I'll personally, be too pooped, I think.....resort relaxation sounds much better to me!!!

So, lack of late hours/Evening EMHS has made me question the need for PHers this trip.....that last night if the boys still have steam after dinner, I suppose we could add on $60 for them to have ONE day of PHing .....much cheaper than $200 for the 4 of us!!!! (I think my BFF and I will be Fine with relaxing at the POLY pool with a Fruity concoction over park hopping after 8pm)

Do you think I made the best choice to forgo this add on? I feel very vulnerable leaving it off, like I'm missing something essential!!!! BUT $200 is nothing to sneeze at! I don't want to waste the money!

I am still trying to figure out how to get to DL! Someday...

I lost some of my quotes?

Chimo. I am there the same time as you. I also just got the base tickets. I have done with and without. I like to hop. But for our family it would be $260+ to get hoppers. I bought MNSSHP tickets instead. I can still add the hoppers but honestly, there is only a day or two we would use them. It doesn't sound like you need them either based on your plans. I don't think they are worth it for one "hop". One thing though - are you looking at the park hours on the dis? I noticed this weekend that there were no evening EMHs. But if you look at the WDW site, there are! From memory, Sunday is HS, Mon, MK, that's all I can remember!
