They'll be 10, 8, and 6 when we travel.

Hi all - quick question. We're staying at Kidani for the first time in Oct (yes, finally gave into DH to not stay at Jambo). We have just a standard view booked, but wondered if I should be making any requests. Anyone have a favorite request they've used for standard views?

We bring her a stroller (though this will be her last trip where we do), so she gets pushed around. She'll probably be the least tired amongst all of us!

But...I agree...I worry about her stamina level. It's a lot to do in a day.

Standard is going to mean parking lot view or pool/parking lot view at Kidani.

I'd request near the lobby and on a lower floor. It'll keep you close to everything, including the path to the pool, the bus stops, and the bigger animal viewing areas.

I believe what Kerrie saw was about the Wildlife Discovery Excursion (safari) -- gone for over a year now. I enjoyed it, but wasn't overly impressed.

The Wild Africa Trek is the replacement and it is a much better experience than the WDE was (to me, anyway! I did it the first month it was offered. ) Pricier, yes, but you also get the Photopass CD and you can load ALL your vacation photos on it, making it an even better value!

Thank you I'm planning on doing the Wanyama again in March so that got me worried. I agree, the Wild Africa Trek is great fun. I think we did it on the second day it started, loved that it worked with our dates.

Welllll..... not so much! I have a State Board Meeting in Charlottesville today and tomorrow, but I am skipping out on a portion of it to take Bob to Pennsylvania to see his Dad. My FIL will be 95 tomorrow!! We will turn around and head back home Friday so I can spend the weekend preparing plans for our Preview/Demo lessons for new students next week. I am also trying to finish up my compositions from last session. BUT... I am not teaching so that is relaxing in and of itself. Thanks for asking, Pam!!
