First time cruiser - 4C or 4E

I will be sailing on the Fantasy out of Port Canaveral on 11/9/2013 with myself, DH and 2 children who will be 4 and 5 at the time of travel. I currently have 5052 reserved and need to make my deposit tomorrow. I'm debating switching to a 4C on Deck 7. My main concern being the vicinity of 5052 to the theater. Will it get noisy there and lots of traffic from the elevators? I like the over-sized veranda because my kids sleep in and I figure we will get use out of it in the mornings while we are waiting for the kids to wake up. Would love to hear any positive or negative feedback on 5052 versus a 4C on Deck 7.

I don't have any personal experience in those room categories, so I can't offer any advice. However, have you looked at the stateroom reviews on here? This link has reviews of many of the rooms (sometimes the review may be from the Dream instead of the Fantasy, but you'll still get the gist since the deck plans are the same). Check it out: http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/cruise-new/roomlist.cfm

We switched from a 4e to a 4c. We'd rather have extra space in the room itself vs on the balcony.

FWIW - you can really hear the bass from the theaters in the gift shops. Not sure how much further the room is but look at a deck plan and see if they are closer or further from the theater that the gift shops are.

Room 5052 is very close to the theater. Are there any 4E rooms further forward or aft? The aft rooms on the starboard side are particularly quiet. We had a 4E room (5162) on our first cruise and loved the extended verandah. As a PP said, though, if you are looking for extra inside space, you'll need to get a 4A-4D. Deck 7 is great (4C) because there are staterooms above and below.

We stayed in 5150 on the Fantasy (on the other side of the ship, but otherwise the same in terms of location near the theatre) and heard absolutely no noise from the theatre. Ever. And we are in our room quite a bit. The hallways were pretty busy because of the clubs being so close, but we didn't mind because of how convenient it was. And they won't be busy on your side.
As for upgrading in your specific case of a 4C or 5052, I would be torn. We've done our long cruise in a 4E and our two short ones (at least on DCl) in 4Bs. I personally love the extra space in the room in 4D-A. BUT, on a 7-night being close to the Oceaneer club/lab was a life saver. My kids visit the clubs at least twice a day and close down the clubs at night. They also sometimes forget something at the club or forget to have the band cut off, etc. so we make many trips back to the clubs on a cruise. And being so close made a big difference.
All that to say, which do you value more: balcony space and proximity to elevator and clubs OR space in the room itself?

Thank you everyone for your responses. I went with 5052 after all. The proximity to the kids club/elevators plus the larger veranda were more appealing than a little more space in the room. My biggest concern was the noise potential, but wdwinfo.com reviews all said it was not noisy.

So excited! We revealed the plans to the kids last night and my poor DD, she was up until 1 am saying she was too excited for the Disney Cruise to go to sleep!

Our first cruise we had 5150 on the Dream. Nice to be close to the clubs, but it was very noisy with kids screaming and running by constantly, as it's between the nearest stairs/elevator to the clubs. The balcony was huge!

Our cruise after that was a 4B (I think) on Deck 7, 7186 on the Fantasy. It was handy to take the stairs up or down to wherever we needed to go, and much quieter too. The extra space was perfect with my 7 and 8 year olds. We rebooked that spot again for next time
