At BCV.....Hurricane Hanna's has gone POP!! - The DIS Discussion Forums

At BCV now and the music loop usually playing at Hurricane Hanna's has been replaced with a loop of POP hits. No more Crocodile Rock, Reeling in the Years, or Benny and the Jets. Now it's Kelly Clarkson, Taylor Swift, Pink, and Adele. It was weird to not have the usual songs serenading the lazy river. We were here in April and the old loop was still playing at that time. CM said it changed about a month ago.

The music is one of the things I liked about BCV. Sad to hear it changed. We will be there in a couple months and are lookinng forward to spending more time around the resort this trip.

Oh, well....we got outnumbered by the younger generation....

DH and I were there last month and both of us commented how horrible the music was. We both were laughing that it was an odd choice and must be because of the younger CM. I would have very much preferred the old stuff!!

this is at Hannah's only, correct? all lobby, solarium, hall music is still in tact as it was?

I dont remember what the music was that played, but we complained to a CM that it was way too loud. Between the birds swooping down to steal food and the loud music, lunch was not enjoyable.

Haha!! I think so. My kids loved the new tunes and I saw several lifeguards and guests singing along. I liked the pop songs too but missed the ones that bring back all of the great memories at BCV.

Yes didn't notice any change in music other than Hanna's.

I guess I'm one of the few who is glad to hear this. And I'm not young. Having said that, though, I would think the former music would have had more general appeal.

Another change I noticed on this trip was that CM were checking room keys and handing out wrist bands for entry into SAB all the way up until pool closing at 11:00 pm. They also wanted to see a room key for each member in the party. There were new signs by the entry points saying that you must have valid key for each guest. I'm not used to CM checking keys much after 5:00 pm but was glad to see this change. Maybe this is a trade off with the change to pop hits at Hanna's

Would be nice if they could mix them. That way us old fuddy-duddies (I'm 32 LOL) can enjoy some of the old stuff too!

I stayed at 3 resorts July 3-13, CBR, BCV and VWL... all 3 feature pools were playing the same annoying loop. I also hopped to the BWV clown pool - yep, it was there, too. I NEVER want to hear Kelly Clarkson again.
