Valentines Day Recommendations

My family will be in Disney World the week of Valetines Day 2013. On Valentines Day I'd like to arrange childcare for my kids and take my wife out to a nice dinner.

I'm still about 3-4 weeks from being able to make an ADR but I'd love some recommendations.

- what restaurant would you recommend?
- do Disney restaurants fill up pretty quickly for Valentines Day?
- any other romantic suggestions?
- does disney do anything special on valentines day?

As an FYI, we will have our own car with us so we should be able to get around pretty well.

- what restaurant would you recommend?
. . . Shula's
. . . Il Mulino
. . . Citricos

- do Disney restaurants fill up pretty quickly for Valentines Day?
. . . yes

- any other romantic suggestions?
. . . no
. . . places like Cali Grill are too noisy
. . . they have too many people on DDP that do not know fine dining
. . . or how to behave at dinner

- does disney do anything special on valentines day?
. . . some eateries might have a rose
. . . but, that has pretty much stopped

The Scupper has named 3 of my top 4--I'd have to add Blue Zoo to the list.

We will be there that week and I'm hoping to get a table at Be Our Guest! I will of course have to check everyday to see when reservations start because that will be a quick one to get filled!

1) For romantic Valentine's ???
2) The place has seating for about 550 people.
. . . tile floors
. . . high ceilings
. . . sheer walls
. . . people talking
. . . people using metal tableware on "china" plates
. . . servers walking around to deliver meals and asking who gets what
3) The noise level will be horrendous.
4) Can you spell D-I-N ?
5) Can you spell E-A-R-S-P-L-I-T-T-I-N-G ?
5) I would not classify that as a romantic Valentine meal. *

* IMHO, or even comfortable for other meals.

For a very special romantic evening my first choice would be Victoria and Alberts...it is expensive, but a memorable experience.

Another option may be...Artist point at WL if you are a bit adventurous with you food.

And yet another thought which is not a restuarant is to book a fireworks cruise. I prefer Illuminations. A nice boat ride then you park under bridge by France and have a fantastic viewing of Illuminations. The cruise is $347. It comes with snacks (chips) and soda. For an extra cost you can order food from a full meal to champagne and chocolate covered strawberries to a cake. My husband surprised me with an Illuminations cruise for our anniversary and it was wonderful. In fact I have one booked this year to surprise him and DS for their birthdays.

They also do private cruises for Wishes.

The first time Judy and I went to Victoria and Albert's was on a Valentine's Day. It was wonderful.

I would suggest Narcoossee's, but then... I suggest them for pretty much anything lol. That's where I proposed to my fiance so I'm a bit biased. But because of that, I got an ADR there for Valentines as well. Its a little less fancy than Citrico's and certainly less-so than V&A, but to me that translates as more relaxed, which I prefer anyway.
