Hollywood and Vine vs. 50s Prime Time

Hi all,
Just made our resses for our Christmas at Disney vacation 2012 and we scheduled one dinner at Hollywood and Vine for our large group...
Since making them I have heard mixed reviews on the dinner there ...
Can anyone share good and bad with me, as we are thinking of changing to 50s Prime Time....
Thanks for any help.....

DHS Dining

Hello DisneyFan !

I have eaten at all the TS in DHS... and I'm one of the few people that liked H&V.

Albeit it has been a while since the 4 times I've eaten there....

For our family of 5 including picky, and very picky it was perfect and had something for everyone. And I'm wondering with your large group if you should keep it.

NOTE : I would ONLY Book Hollywood & Vine again if including the Fantasmic Dining Package !

So for 50's ? LOVED the food... the food was awesome... but they do not offer Fantasmic dining so we skipped our last trip (May 2012) and did Mama Melrose.

(and Sci Fi for the first time)...

You don't state how large your group is but I'd think the buffet at H&V would save you time and have something to please everyone but please add the F! Dining package (no extra cost) so you all don't have to wait in line for Fantasmic !

Have a magical visit !

We enjoyed H&V... but it is nothing special. There was nothing wrong with the food but it was very basic buffet food.

50's is a better experience, a very "Disney" (immersed/unique) experience. Again, good food but the experience is well worth it.
