Yes, Congress Park also has a quiet pool, with a view of DTD! It's our favorite area of SSR, close enough to walk back from DTD, short walk to main pool, Artist Palette and more importantly the Turf Club Restaurant (stuffed mushrooms & prime rib, yum).
I've requested Congress Park, DTD view 3 times and have gotten it all 3 times, I hope my luck holds out! Good luck on your trip requests!

We stayed at SSR back in February. At that time the Grandstand area was too quiet (nobody there for my kids to play with) and the Springs was "open". The bar, the drink station, the pool (the hot tub, the movies )was somewhat busy at the High Rock pool. We were in the farther part of the Grandstand and walked a few times over to the gift shop/area. We moved to BLT and then back to SSR this time in the Springs section. I much prefer the closeness of the Springs to all the main buidings and although I had a car, I'd walk over to the GS bus before I'd stay in GS again. (If I needed the bus).

Just checked out of the Springs an hour ago. We almost always close the Springs for close proximity to the main pool, food, etc. But what was most awesome this time was that the location of our villa was truly equally close to both the main pool and the new Paddock pool. This was a HUGE bonus! Both pools right close by! But we spend a TON of time at the resorts and pools...definitely not in parks all day. So it is important to us to be close to the pool.

I'm a Congress Park girl. Love the view of DTD and the short walk to Marketplace via the walkway. Just be sure to request a DTD view. Just requesting CP doesn't guarantee that view. I found that out the hard way.

I love Congress Park. That is the only section in which I have stayed. I was thinking about trying the Springs the next time or the Paddock.

We loved the Springs during our visit earlier this month! Location was excellent, never had a problem getting a seat on a bus on the way to the parks even though it was the last stop. Room hadn't been renovated yet, but was in good order. Very, very happy with my choice of DVC resort, and wonderful cast members. Excellent first stay.

The new pool and area are very nice, but I still prefer the Congress Park area. I really like that quiet pool, and the nice view of DTD.

SSR = Congress Park!
We enjoy Congress Park, and always try to get a DTD view. We can walk to the Store at Springs or DTD.

Is Congress Park near the boat launch? Or is it easier to walk to DTD?
